Great post and again Thank You to all who have made our freedom possible! God bless!

Is Norwayne's defense an even match with Orrville's defense? No. Look at what the highest powered offenses have done against the Red Rider D.
Is Norwayne's defense an even match with Orrville's offense? No. Can they defend our receivers AND keep an eye on Brenner AND stack the line to shut down Monheim? No.
Orrville loses when they have injuries, turnovers and penalties--not because of lack of talent or they were overmatched.
Orrville is healthy, therefore they will not lose because they were beaten by a better team. They will only lose if they go back to turning the ball over and making dumb penalties.
Norwayne has to play their best if they hope to win, but if Orrville plays their best they can't lose.
Slow that horse your on down, Norwayne is a great football team and has the talent to win this game....I've seen them in person twice. If we give them the opportunities to take the lead, or give them the ball...they have the guys to make us pay for it.
RedRider1;967719 wrote:I agree with the "beat ourselves" logic but I think Norwayne has the team to make us pay for any mistakes we make. We've seen this team overcome mistakes against the average teams (Clear Fork, West Holmes) but pay for mistakes against the good ones (Copley).
If we play turnover free and less than 5 penalties, we'll be a very hard team to beat....but if we make bad decisions that lead to turnovers and have silly penalties that sustain Norwayne drives, it will get interesting.
Let's be honest...our biggest opponent all year has been ourselves. With the exception of maybe the Ashland game. We cut a few mistakes out and we're 10-1 right now at worst.
Great post...

The match-ups have been talked to death, so my 2 cents doesn't matter. Orrville fans should expect a route, but if your players feel the same as above post, they will be in for a lonnng night. (I am sure the players are focused on the game and have respect for their opponent.) Hope all the young men stay safe.
Trust me, the coaches and players have one thing on their mind...beating Norwayne! They will respect the opponent just like they do every single week and go into the game with the Red Rider Swag and give their best effort to win the game......as will the Bobcats.

But I expect it to be a good game. If Norwayne wins, it will be because they were the better team tomorrow night, played better and executed better. If Orrville wins, it will be because they were the better team tomorrow night, played better and executed better. To think anything else, IMO, like "if Norwayne wins it will have been because Orrville made mistakes", is an injustice to both these teams.
I agree, NO excuses! Whoever wins was the better team that night....and like coach Davault said in the paper, no matter what the outcome is, this single game should not define either program. Best of luck to both teams.
I just want to see a great football game between two great communities battling for their season to continue.....and hopefully my Red Riders will come out on top!
GO RIDERS!
