A court filing by prosecutors in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case said that his alleged victims ranged in age from 8 to 17 and that crimes involving eight of the boys occurred on the Penn State campus.
The attorney general's office issued a "bill of particulars" Thursday that said crimes involving one boy took place in Florida and Texas, and that another boy was abused at his own school.
Two of the boys, identified in a grand jury report as Victim 2 and Victim 8, remain unidentified to authorities, according to the court filing.
In most cases, prosecutors said, they could not provide specific dates, noting that some crimes occurred over many years and that the alleged victims were children at the time.
Prosecutors said assaults happened from 1996 to 2009 and occurred at Sandusky's home, in State College hotels, at Penn State athletic facilities and inside a car.
For Victim 4, the attorney general's office said, offenses took place in Florida in December 1998 and January 1999, when Penn State was playing in the Outback Bowl; and in Texas in December 1999, when Sandusky coached his last game, the Alamo Bowl.

The NCAA today agreed to restore the wins of the Pennsylvania State University football program from 1998 to 2011 as part of a settlement in a lawsuit levied by a Pennsylvania state senator, thus once again making the legendary Joe Paterno the winningest coach in the history of major college football.

The NCAA did the right thing. May Joe Pa rest in peace and his family finally find closure.

This was from a PSU message board.

The thing that gets me is that PSU people always say Paterno wasn't obligated by Pennsylvania law to do more. So what that doesn't mean he shouldn't have. They also say it didn't happen while they he was a coach there. We'll actually it did... and even after he wasn't coaching they gave the guy an office. And you know he had access to the facilities.

It's just sick that they defend him the way they do.

Ohhhhh and PSU sports are wearing 409 patches on their unis to support him. DISGUSTING.

I couldn't care less personally about the records. The only part that bothers me are the morons who will use this as some sort for vindication for Paterno's non-actions.

In retrospect, Joe Paterno could have done more, and he even admitted as much prior to his death. He did do what was required of him legally by taking the second-hand information he had acquired to his superiors -- in this case the athletic director and president of the university -- and ultimately those persons were responsible for properly investigating the matter and working with authorities to deal with Jerry Sandusky legally if action called for it, which it obviously did in the end.

But the evidence that Joe Paterno somehow masterminded the coverup of a child sex predator is simply not supported by the facts as we know them. Even the man who prosecuted Jerry Sandusky in court did not find any proof that Paterno was complicit. So while I definitely don't consider Paterno a hero in all of this, he also doesn't deserve the label of a monster.

NCAA finally realizes that it overstepped its jurisdiction in punishing Penn State. They settled because they knew they'd lose.

No, the NCAA realized that its overreach could not be defended in a court of law and settled.
He knew a kid was being raped in a building where he was in charge by someone he considered a friend.

I am sure that proper justice is being administered there in accordance with his complicity and involvement.

Again, a valid opinion. Not everyone would agree with you. Most importantly, that opinion cannot be used to to levy sanctions and fines against Penn State, nor does it justify punishing the innocent to satisfy vigilante justice.
