Just another irrational response to help ease the pain. I didn't read through all the posts, but someone mentioned recruiting as a factor in why a coach would leave for a new job before the bowl. If Kelly stayed mum about the job until after the bowl game, that means he is further "lying" to everyone including the recruits he'd spend time talking with for the next month. People are mad he's leaving, mad that he didn't tell them, but now you want him to stay and coach the bowl. Is that really best for your players and your program?
At this point, Cincy can get busy finding a replacement, which gives them an advantage in doing so over schools who may have yet to release their coaches. Why wait until after bowls when the best candidates could already be locked up?
