Forgive me for my ignorance, but what is Tapatalk? I've heard many on here mention it before. Is it a mobile browser or something entirely different? Is the $1.99 a one-time fee or a monthly fee? What is the difference between using Tapatalk and say your standard mobile browser? I'm assuming added functionality, but I'm curious as to what exactly.

One time fee. It just makes viewing/posting a lot easier. You can do pretty much anything from the app except for giving reps and voting on polls.

Tapatalk makes it much easier to navigate and post. It serves the same function as the Facebook or Twitter app. It's a one time fee, you're just purchasing the app.

From what I understand, a lot of companies are starting to block high bandwidth websites like Youtube and Pandora to try to free up bandwidth

Regarding tapatalk, it will eventually become incompatible with the site. But, I'm working on a mobile app that will allow you to post, give reps, vote on polls, etc. Not sure when it will be ready, though, so you'd get your $2 worth out of tapatalk if you were thinking of buying it.
