Ok I have shared many times my relationship with my brother, if you haven't read that before just know there is no relationship. My brother decided to take a life of heavy drugs and bouncing in and out of prison and made my mom's life hell whlie my dad was dying, ok that is the jist of that.

I also have a sister, who in the smarts department isn't too far behind my brother. Now we weren't raised this way at all and I don't understand it in the least. My sister and her piece of shit man just popped out their 3rd baby, neither one of them can ever hold a job, hell if they are even working at all. They live off the system and drain my mom for everything they can (of course she is kind of an enabler and I have shared my thoughts with her several times over, my mom that is). They are in their young 30's, no 401Ks, no pensions, no education, he just got a job willing to bet it will last only a few months before he decides to get fired or just quit and do nothing. My sister has had a few stable jobs in the past but after sometime will mange to fuck them up and lose her job as well. Well the last job was stripping (save it guys I know what is coming from you bastard OC'ers) well anyways, after just having the 3rd kid which I am still pissed about but again forgiving enough to see my nieces and my sister when possible she calls me tonight to tell me she is going back to work. I say finally the kids will have medical benefits, dah dah dah, so I say to my sister where did you get a job at? The reply, you guessed it going back to stripping. I am beyond furious. I fucking lost it on her! I can't stand to see family live like this.

Now some of you know I am not an angel but the worst thing I do is the green. I hardly even drink. I have a career and make a good living. I mean is it that fucking hard to live like a decent human being, if anything for your kids? These guys have nothing, my nieces don't stand a damn chance! On top of this I am at my office when I get this news and now I want to go postal!

Sorry so long had to vent and you guys are always good at cheering a brother up here!!

But seriously. I agree wich ya man. When you have kids you need to suck it up and set an example. You don't have to earn a shit ton of money. Just provide and maintain a stable environment. Bouncing from job to job and stripping ain't the way to go.

I only buy for the kids, and that is b-days, christmas, a few surprises here and there, and some times when my mom pleads for some help for them. Wrong, it isn't like they are disabled, dead, blah blah blah, they are perfectly capable of getting jobs and doing what is right. I will not take over for someone no matter who it is because they are too fucking lazy or whaever! I DON'T want kids, plain and simple, it is my life and I work to damn hard to deal with others problems, yes even if it is family! One other reason I don't have kids is because I am a single guy that lives very comfortably on my salary, just the GF and I, but could I take on and raise 3 kids and then be financially stable no fucking way. One maybe. So still not fair to the kids! I am not traditional, I am my own man. I do what is right for me first, others second, maybe selfish but at the end of the day you can only help yourself first! So yes that may sound shallow to some but I refuse to take my life off its course for others stupidity no matter how close they are. What about my dreams, goals, etc.....?

Thats fine but unless his sister is going to sign her kids over to him or Family Services step in its not going to happen. But you are right about Fab not being that concerned about their well being if he thinks they would be an inconveinence on his life.
If I were in your shoes I would pray about it. If your not a praying person I would suggest giving it a try, it certainly isn't any worse advice then the ones you have already received.

I don't do relgion either, sorry praying is the way of saying your doing something when you really aren't. Praying isn't going to get my sister a real job with benefits, her hitting the bricks and putting in applications will! I would suggest that you go support (I'm not talking finances) your nephew(s)/niece(s) so they have a positive influence in their lives (since you claim their parents aren't). Unfortunately, I don't think you are capable of doing the job, or aren't willing to do the job.

Yeah noted! See didn't ask for advice knew exactly what I was getting here, even mentioned it in the op. However that is what is great about this place, this. Doesn't bother me as you don't know me and I provide support. Your opinion is just as welcome as mine. Don't think I don't spend time with my nieces or even my sister for that matter, the point is I can't take where they are at or how they live and I blew up, most likely alot on here would do as well.
