Kid Cudi is from Cleveland and he is one of the most popular rap artists out, regardless if you like him (I do, especially the older stuff)

Chip tha Ripper is another rapper from Cleveland, and it seems like every kid in their late teens/early 20's from Northeast Ohio knows who he is.

Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) is another rapper from Ohio who is gaining popularity, but I think he blows and can't figure out why so many people like him.

Another smaller band formed at Ohio U. is Papadosio, an electronic jam band. They have some pretty cool songs like this one:

lol, Day N Nite is probably his worst song from that CD. He also has more than 1 hit single. But ok.

I love his stuff majority of the time, but I really disliked most of his most recent CD.

The bands roots are in Pike County, Waverly Ohio. They were discovered so to say at a bar in Cincy. Jim Caughlan an original member, I worked with at Piketon Zahns Corner Middle School, he is still a teacher in our school system.

They certainly do. They are busting their asses to get their name out there. They've got a pretty solid following. I know they put on a show for Columbia Records last year, but they were turned down. Although, he did say they had a lot of potential, they just weren't there yet. They got to play at Rock On The Range this past summer because they won a contest on The Blitz voted by the listeners. This is one of my favorites from them...

Not sure if all the members are from Ohio, but Ekoostik Hookah was formed in Columbus.

Led Zeppelin played Cleveland more than once so they can surely be on the Music Bands from Ohio list. Pink Floyd too. Damn Ohio rocks more than I thought.
