All of OSU's wide receiver recruits for this class are over 6'1" with a couple in the 6'3" range. Reed, who got hurt just as he was starting to show something, is only 6' but can really jump.
I have little doubt the receiving corps will be just fine next year, despite its youth.

A wide receiver who commands a constant double team would help open tings for the offense. I don't think anything is out of the question when Urban gets in front of a recruit. Hopefully he can get an audience with this kid.

Urban Meyer should be renamed Honey Badger. He takes what he wants and if he wants Green-Beckham, I bet he gets him.

Looking like the cyrus jones will probably be heading to Alabama. He will not be taking his official visit here this weekend.

Good. Don't need him, don't want him. Bring on the players who want to win their own division, and not the ones who want to be handed a championship appearance for losing 1 or their 2 "challenging" games all season.stroups;1015720 wrote:Looking like the cyrus jones will probably be heading to Alabama. If you're going to be retarded, do it in your own threads. Save these for real discussion.sleeper;1015747 wrote:Good. Don't need him, don't want him. Sucks OSU doesn't even get a chance with Jones with a visit. Hopefully we can still get either Caleb or Diggs. Spence hopefully will commit this weekend so they can focus on OL and getting one of these athletes.

Cris Carter has HOF stats, I think he's probably the caliber of Green-Beckham. Also, Galloway was a hell of a WR.Scarlet_Buckeye;1015836 wrote:None of those guys are the caliber of Dorial Green-Beckham

Doriel Green-Beckham looks like a tremendous talent but have you seen the talent he is playing against? Those kids look like they are the size of Justin Bieber. This kind of reminds me like the kid that went to Georgia, Marlon Brown, who tore it up playing high school in Memphis and hasn't done much so far in college.
BTW I think Green-Beckham will be a stud but can we hold off on the comparisons

Were any of those mentioned the #1 ranked receiver in the country and 6'6 220? That's what I was getting at with my previous post. I can't recall OSU ever getting someone like that out of high school.....they usually land at a school that constantly airs it out.se-alum;1015926 wrote:Cris Carter has HOF stats, I think he's probably the caliber of Green-Beckham. It seems like his interest in OSU isn't very strong anyway, but it would be an amazing get.

Cris Carter and Galloway never had the hype heading into college that this kid has. No one is denying the fact that those guys had great NFL careers and even good college careers. We're simply saying OSU has never seen a receiver the likes of Green-Beckham from a size and potential standpoint.se-alum;1015926 wrote:Cris Carter has HOF stats, I think he's probably the caliber of Green-Beckham. So your just saying OSU has never gotten a WR with the hype that Green-Beckham has because of his size.Scarlet_Buckeye;1016113 wrote:Cris Carter and Galloway never had the hype heading into college that this kid has. They wanted to but Ohio State values academics over athletics, so they were deferred elsewhere.xKoToVxSyNdRoMe;1016194 wrote:Which one of these played at Ohio State?

Calvin johnson was a 4* - not enough hype.
Julio Jones - I will give you that one. Although 6' 3" might not qualify for Scarlet Buckeye.
AJ Green - only 184 lbs. Not big enough.

Well there was a guy named Paul Warfield at The Ohio State University who was a pretty fair receiver.....
