The coaches always leave a little wiggle room out there, and usually will leave room for the big guys they are chasing.
Its bad form to pull a scholly from a kid, because who's to say the next star player won't be from that school, and you've left a bad taste in the mouth of the coaches, and the players due to that player probably having friends on the team.

Thanks and reps. I have always wondered about if it happened and how it was handled.HighRoller74;1628418 wrote:The coaches always leave a little wiggle room out there, and usually will leave room for the big guys they are chasing.

The B1G and SEC differ in the regard, as in the B1G teams cannot over sign, so normally you'll see the B1G teams hold back maybe 1 or 2 commitable offers holding out hope for a signing day kid, or something similar. Something also more teams are doing if they do go over is offer the "Grey" shirt and bring them in on the next years class.mcburg93;1628420 wrote:Thanks and reps. Now in the SEC you can sign as many guys as you want, so what they will do, is have a player who is currently on the roster, who's probably never going to play, he will come up with some sort've injury and his career is over, so they get his Athletic Scholly back (still goes to school free). Or they will outright cut kids/ or encourage them to transfer out.

Would love to know his wingspan. The picture with his arms spread out is incredible. Freakish measurables, and comes from a very proven school as well.
