Was walking through my rental today, and saw this in the basement. Not everywhere, just a few places. It looks like cotton candy. And crumbles right under your feet. I had noticed it when I lived there, but never this bad. I used to have a dehumidifier in the basement, but the renters did not. Typically a semi-damp basement, but never any flooding.

Ok, instead of in your coffee, put some of it on your scrambled eggs with a little pepper.

Looks like someone had a pillow fight in your basement.

Did you rent out to a sorority?

I used to have something that looked just like that in the basement of my old house. I freaked out and called someone in thinking it was mold. Mine turned out to thankfully just be efflorescence (not sure of spelling)a mineral deposit type thing from moisture in the concrete. Dehumidifier solved it.

That's what I was wondering, if it was a mineral deposit.

Be careful if you call someone in to check it out, the guy who came and looked at mine was a friend of a friend, and said he was glad I hadn't called someone else b/c a lot of people will treat it and charge you insane amounts as if it actually mold, just because people don't know any better and they can get away with it.

I looked up pictures of white mold and efflorescence... It's not white mold. I actually think it's blow, and worth a couple mill. Screw you all.

Use white vinegar and water. Remember the spores can get airborne and can land and regrow. That's why they say call a pro, the best remedy is to fix the basement environment to where they can't grow.

Are you sure? ETB is just a teacher. I mean, he's not a gym teacher, so he's not full on retard but a teacher nonetheless.

It's not meth because that would be blue or have chili powder in it.
