I'll be heading to the Indians spring opener on March 3, hitting up Giants/D-Backs on March 4 then going to every Thursday Indians game (I don't have TH class starting next week).

So pumped, this will be my first spring training.

92.3 had Paul Dolan on yesterday. Damn that man makes my blood boil. He was on there basically "poo pooing" the Prince Fielder signing trying to emphasize Fielder's "poor defense". The worst part was about how he was saying Cleveland could "never bring in a big name" and how they "hope to be competitive every 4 years." Then he started crying "poor" and how they were losing money. He came across like he was talking down to the fan base and seemed very defensive.

If there was ANY enthusiasm about this upcoming season amongst the fan base, Dolan pretty much kicked it in the nuts yesterday.

Wow. I am glad I didn't listen to that. Hope to be competitive every 4 years? Maybe we should all hope to buy merchandise and tickets every 4 years. That is sickening.

It was much worse than I can put into words. The hosts of the various shows afterwards were pretty pissed/fuming also. One said they should have put Dibiasio on in his place. At least Dibiasio tries to give it a positive spin. The way Dolan came across was like "we'll continue to feed you shit and you'll LIKE it...oh, and my kids, who I will give the team to when I retire, will also feed you shit."

If you heard this interview it would make your fanhood almost want to curl up in the fetal position.

Why didn't they ask him why the family doesn't sell the team if they can't afford it? They make it sound like it's equivalent to passing Kidney strone trying to own it in this market, let someone else have the fun then.

Because they are MAKING money off of it. All of his "woe is me" stuff is a bunch of BULLSHIT. The Tribe is worth more than when he bought it and he's making a shit ton off of STO.

His "small market" stuff is a bunch of bullshit. They discussed the payroll during his tenure and after it's peak ($93 mill) when he bought it (first year), he actually had it gutted down to $34 million at one point.

Sounds like DiBiasio was listening this morning and decided to call in and debate Booms on the "small market" excuse. You can listen here...

You already know that is the dolans do sell the team Cuban would be all over it if he doesn't get the dodgers. He wants a MLB team so bad and him and Gilbert are pretty close. I would literally cry if it happened. Hell I think I'll cry if the dolans sell the team lol

Grady Sizemore already out indefinitely. Chris Perez is out 4-6 weeks. SMH, great start!

We just had to throw $5 mill @ Sizemore instead of using it to go after a better FA...

I'm not even excited for Baseball season... Sad when Cleveland is my team, yet I'll pick what games I go to this season based more so on the opponent SMH.

The thing that pissed me off more than ANYTHING this offseason was Grady Sizemore. Not even so much that we picked up his option. But when Manny Acta said something to the effect of "we hope Grady can play around 100 games this season". So, we picked up an option on a guy who, if 100% healthy ALL YEAR, still missed about 60 games for rest. Not to mention, the odds were at about 1% he would be able to stay healthy.

That really irked me. Like, I wanted to throw something.

Through the power of the interwebz....time to organize a full blown fan boycott. Don't go to the games...and don't watch em on the tube. Listening to them is about all Dolan should get.

Wear paper bags....and flood the park (for the few that go) with signs that pretty much tell Dolan to shove his team up his a$$.

There's no reason for the Tigers to double our payroll. You either want to break the championship drought...or you GTFO.
