Whew. Don't even try. Don't cover anyone. Don't tackle. Nothing. Peyton Manning is not worth 40 points. Breeze is really good, but it shouldn't be that easy.

Man...the Colts are the luckiest organization ever. They are going to end up with Luck to sit behind Manning for a year or two.

I hate you footwedge, but they're killing me in fantasy so i'll agree with the premise of this thread.

I'm up .3 points right now lol hopefully no more extra points for Kasay or catches for Colston

Seriously, who do the Colts beat this year?

Currently sit at 0-7 after tonight:

@ Tennessee (L)
Atlanta (L)
Jacksonville (W)
Bye
Carolina (L)
@ New England (L)
@ Baltimore (L)
Tennessee (W)
Houston (L)
@ Jacksonville (L)

I see them finishing 2-14 at best. Home wins versus Jacksonville and Tennessee. Though, both those teams are better than Indy, imo, so 1-15 wouldnt shock me. I think they will squeak out at least 1 W though.

I think they may have a shot against Carolina...maybe at home against Jacksonville.

Carolina is more talented. But being at home could help. Beatdowns like this though will only make it tougher. Morale is dropping week by week. Im hoping they enter at 0-10. Cause if they beat JVille/Tennessee before the break, they could all of a sudden reel of a decent finish of 4 wins or so and fuck up everything!!!!!

The bright side is Colts fans should be able to stop complaining about Jim Caldwell after this season is over.

Most I've ever seen was Bengals/Oilers 63-7 or something....maybe 65-10....it was a payback blowout.

This is the worst season for SNF/MNF i can ever remember. Seemingly every game blows.

Ill still complain. I said all of 2009 he would cost them a SB. Worst coach in the NFL. Im stunned he didnt blow a game before they pulled Peyton versus the Jets that year.

But yeah, hes gotta go, which is nice.

Manning is great...one of the best of all time, but this team is crap right now. Is it time for them to start over and rebuild? and if it is....would Manning want out?

They are competing with Houston for the division with Manning.

Im not sure people realize that this defense has been this bad for most/many seasons. They just dont have to play so much cause Manning isnt going 3 and out all the time, giving them short fields and in turn forces them to be more 1 dimensional and throw. That allows the only 2 playmakers they have on defense to make a difference in the game.

We are also seeing that these WRs arent that great. Wayne is just old, he was great. But Garcon, Collie, Addai, etc arent anything to write home about. Manning just put them in position to make plays. Granted they all have ability and great hands, but they cant get themselves open without Manning telling them where to go on the field.

I actually thought Garcon looked pretty good...he is the only guy this year to give Haden some trouble.

But yeah, I get that their defense has always been suspect...but they did manage to get edge pass rush back in the day.

I think there's been a few good SNF games (Steelers-Colts and Falcons-Eagles come to mind).

MNF has been brutal though. Probably because Miami, St. Louis, and Indy have all had MNF games already. The Dolphins have already fucking had 2. Yep, in 7 weeks the only 3 teams in the NFL left winless have appeared on Monday night football filling 1/4 of the total team allotment.

And tomorrow night Jacksonville gets their turn! And then they get another one later in the season. And the Vikings have one too.

But the winner of all winners is the week 14 Monday Night game - St. Louis @ Seattle.

Nobody really thought any of those teams were going to be this bad coming into the year, but damn did it turn out horribly.

Garcon has ability. He has issues getting open. Bubble screens and slants are how he does most of his damage. He is very big and physical and that allows him to be a great #2, but not when he cant run routes. Peyton was really good at checking into plays where his route would find the hole in a zone, and if they went man he would run the bubble screens or a go route with him. He rarely had him run routes in man coverage. Garcon said that was what helped him so much his 1st two years, not having to worry about breaking a man down on a route. Said he could just concentrate on the ball.

As for the edge. They still have it. But it doesnt do any good when the QB doesnt have to take 5 and 7 step drops. When the opponent was playing catch up, Freeney and Mathis pinned ears back and ran. But when they dont have to have deep drop backs, and Freeney and Mathis have to watch for the rush, its trouble. Even when teams tried to check down or run to avoid the edge rush, it played into the Tampa 2 defense and to score on the Colts it would take 8 minutes. Analysts always said it was a bad thing and the defense was getting carved, but in reality, a long drive was what the Colts defense wanted. Just sometimes Peyton wouldnt score and they would lose, and it looked bad.

Not even manning is saving this team. The defense is flat out terrible. they may have the worst secondary in the league.
