The man died, but they still make terrible football decisions.

What are the Raiders thinking? I wouldn't give up a 3rd rounder for that guy

Carson was pretty good for a while. But I think he got scared from being hit so many times.

I'd be iffy about giving up one 3rd rounder. Who is calling the shots in Oakland? Al Davis' son? Is he aware that Palmer pretty much sucked balls his last few seasons in Cincy. He could make a comeback, but I don't see him being anything more than "serviceable" and I sure as hell don't think he's worth what Oakland gave up.

At least he proved that he isn't completely fucking clueless. If he had turned this down to prove a point, they'd have burnt PBS to the ground.

Al Davis is still alive this trade confirms it. He is living with Elvis, 2Pac, and Steve Jobs.

Its amazing that got 1 first round draft pick and then another one in 2013. I would have given max a 4th round pick for Palmer.

This might be one of the most ridiculous moves I've ever seen in the NFL regarding trades. I can't think of one that tops it.

I have to think Mike Brown is on vacation this week and Katie Blackburn (his daughter) made the move without his knowledge. Mike's probably at the tiki bar frantically making a call back to Cincinnati trying to figure who they heck made this move without his authority.

Even Mike Brown couldn't fuck that deal up. This has to be the biggest trade rape in the history of trades. I'd give up a 4th pick at best for Carson. Just goes to show Al Davis wasn't the only dumbass in that front office. Wtf are they drinking there?

Even Mike Brown isn't stupid enough to turn this deal down. Would Love to see Palmer lead the Raiders to the Playoffs and Mike Brown sitting at home watching.

It is ridiculous...but Ditka giving an entire draft for Ricky Williams is up there...so is Marshall Faulk in his prime for a 2nd and 5th.

I could see a conditional pick that could end up as a #1, but not a 1 and a conditional that could be a second 1.

Ya have to wonder about this deal.

An older QB, who hasnt played well in a long time, and you get two first round picks?

Wow.

Now, Mike Brown will also have to spend money.... So let's just hope he can make more smart decisions with that money as well

Carson Palmer threw 5 TD passes to beat me in the fantasy championship last year.

That's Carson's career in a nutshell. Great fantasy stat guy; not so good when it comes to wins and losses on the actual football field.

Two first round picks for him? L-O-Fucking-L. Raiders were desperate to the point of stupidity to make that deal. Like a "we're finally looking like a decent team, but our QB went down...TRADE EVERYTHING to replace him!!!!"
