I hope he stays to hopefully have a good last year at OSU... maybe it depends on who next coach is?

Reminds me of Tim Anderson but this thread should be about BIG Hank Johnathan Hankins. Dude will be a Big Daddy Dan Wilkinson next year.

Simon would seem so much better were Nathan Williams out there which is amazing.

Considering his backround, I have the feeling he'll be a senior.

The kid is a special player, and has been since he was at Mooney.

He'll be back for his senior year...and he'll be a beast next year just like this year.

Dude is as beast and very versatile. At one point yesterday we had what could be 4 defensive tackles on the line Simon, Bellamy, Goebel, and Big Hank.

If he comes back for his senior year he could very well play his way in to the top 5 but not right now.

A few thoughts:

1. He should go pro after this year
2. Is he big enough to play DT in the NFL?
3. Even if he isn't big enough, he will be successful in the NFL
4. He is by far the best DL in the NCAA this year, unblockable when he chooses to be

I doubt you watch enough football to make this judgment.

Knowing his family and his background, there is about a 0.000000001% chance that he goes pro after this year.

I love Simon just as much as the next guy, but to even suggest that he will be a top 5 pick is LUDICROUS!

He's extremely improved, but he's been far from unstoppable.

I didn't mean this year as I'm sure he will come back for his senior year and be considered one. You goign to start a thread and call me out on it?

I watch plenty of college football and coached Defensive Line at the HS level for 15 years. Technically he is as good as it gets. There also isn't another DL in the country who just flat out makes HUGE plays when his team desperately needs one like he does. If it is a big play, you MUST double team him and assign a back to him as well just in case.

I am a Michigan fan and all we hear about it how great Mike Martin is...I love Martin, but would trade him for Simon at the drop of a hat. He would be starting on quite a few NFL teams right now. It may just be at DE though,

Yep. I will when Simon is drafted much later after the 10th pick.
