Page reminds me of Penny Hardaway on NBA Hangtime. Has he passed tonight? Lol. He's a heck of a player. A true gunner.

Penny Hardaway had full stats in the speed category.

But he was no Glen Rice.

Haha Glenn was good. But the Penny-Rony Seikaly duo was like playing with two Wilt Chamberlains. With that lineup, player 2 automatically needed to score 150 just to have a prayer. What a great game.

UConn loses to Providence. And the bubble weakens even more.

Memphis annihilates UCF. UCF is definitely done. They were hanging on by a thread before. You can lock up Memphis after beating Marshall and UCF back to back.

St. Louis rights the ship after the horrible loss to Rhode Island, outscoring Xavier 41-20 in the 2nd half to overcome a 10 point halftime defecit. They probably want to beat Duquesne too just to be sure, but I'd guess the Billikens dance either way at this point.

Xavier might be on the outside looking in at this point, but when you look at it, 7 teams out of Mississippi State, X, Zona, UConn, Texas, Miami, Northwestern, USF, VCU, Colorado State, St. Joseph's, Dayton, and Oregon would basically have to get in at this point (pending conference tournament upsets).

I don't know if I could judge 6 of those teams to have better resumes overall.

This year, more than any I can rememebr, is going to have some teams playing terrible with bad resumes to boot that get in the NCAAs. As Mulva just pointed out, no one is winning and claiming the spots, so these teams we keep "eliminating" are going to back there way in.

IMO, Mississippi State, Connecticut, Northwestern and Dayton have all been playing awful lately. Miami, Northwestern and Oregon are showing more life. I don't see the Pac 12 getting more than 3 teams, and at this point, I don't see the A-10 getting more than 3, so some of those should take care of themselves. Colorado State should be fine if they can knock off Vegas. The Mountain West will get some love.

Connecticut has lost 9 of their last 12. You are the weakest link. Goodbye.

With Reggie Johnson now reinstated in Coral Gables and Miami coming off a big victory against Florida State, the Hurricanes are sitting pretty good. They are now 17-10 and 8-6 in the ACC with games against N.C. State and woeful Boston College remaining. As it stands right now, Miami is ahead of N.C. State on The Bubble and can bust N.C. State's bubble for good with a victory over the Pack on Wednesday. At worst, the Hurricanes will probably finish 9-7 in the ACC, good enough for a fourth-place finish and a birth in the Dance.

Jim Larranaga deserves serious consideration for ACC Coach of the Year. Miami was picked to finish anywhere from 10 to 12 in the ACC in the pre-season.

Looks like there is going to be a major story released tomorrow on the recent downturn of UCLA basketball.

What's going on out in Westwood? I only caught part of ESPN's story on Ben Howland and some sort of expose done by SI on the program, and didn't get full details.

Whatever the case may be, UCLA just needs to re-open its coaching search so that they can get a coach who doesn't employ a style of play that is equivalent to the speed of a potato sack race and all will be well again in Los Angeles.

Not sure but I'd put money down that it has to involve Reeves Nelson in some way. The guy was awful for the program...

Montana rolled Weber State. I could see them being a decent 12/13 seed maybe stealing a game.

If/when Ben Howland is given directions to the nearest exit in Pauley Pavilion, who are the top candidates for becoming the next caretaker of UCLA Bruin basketball? I think Mark Few has to be in the discussion. If he's ever going to leave Spokane, this would be the ideal job. It's on the West Coast and it's UCLA.

In related Pac 12 chatter, I keep hearing people say that Sean Miller is just "biding time" at Arizona. What is he biding his time for? Pat Summit to finally succumb to senility and take over the Tennessee women? Personally, I think Lute Olson built Arizona into a destination job, like Jim Calhoun has done at Connecticut. Any Xavier people have any idea as to what Miller's dream job is?

I think Miller would go to Syracuse if Boeheim hangs them up.

BTW Reclegend, didn't mention this on here yet...but I'm rooting for Duke to get a #1 seed. And they draw Mississippi Valley State in round 1...20th anniversary! Although it would be a story if they face UK as well...but still, just one of many interesting story lines of this year's NCAA Tournament.

If a coach is going to leave for another team in conference, Miller at UCLA would do serious damage imo.

Also, and I think Few was rumored last time and turned it down or something, but I cant imagine he turnes it down twice. I think if he is ever going to leave Gonzaga, this would be it.

Im not really sure who else it would be. I dont think UCLA would go back to the midwest/east coast after Ben Howland. Though, he did go to THREE stright Final Fours, though they werent really competative in them. His style just doesnt seem to fit at UCLA.
