I've stayed quiet on here because it's obvious where my allegiances lie. However, it's not debatable that Calipari cares about his players. It's very subjective to say that, but his actions back it up. He's stated as much publicly and would likely reiterate it if asked.

I mean the ONLY criticism he's really gotten since coming to UK has been that many of the supremely loyal UK fans who hold the program higher than any individual player or coach to ever be a part of it is that Cal cares more for the players and their success than the school. He's been criticized most for the statement about the most important day in UK history was having five players drafted in the first round.

Compare that to, just to throw it out there, one of CBF's coach crushes, Ben Howland, and the article that just came out about him. Whether it's all BS or not I'll let people form their own opinions on, but like everyone likes to say, "where there is smoke there is fire."

The NCAA confirmed that Syracuse self reported the violations several months ago (per ESPN bottom line).

Oh, now I have a man crush on Howland? lol Ok. Whats wrong with trying to look at things from the other perspective at times? If I have a mancrush, you have a hatred. Hows that? Which then makes both of our opinions worthless. Luv how people make shit up at times.

I was stating that for emphasis. However, I remember you talking up Howland a TON years ago. I know we went back and forth on that other site many times regarding Howland and UCLA. I ate some crow for a little while because despite his boring style, he recruited well, had some NCAA success and got players to the NBA.

How the tables have turned now though. If I was UCLA, I fire him, because I honestly don't think they can recover from this. They might rebound a bit, but he will NEVER get back to where he was (both on the court and in relation to the top tier recruits considering UCLA).

Just my opinion though. You are certainly entitled to yours.

20th in the league in scoring, 14th in rebounding, 7th in blocks. The First Team and Second Team includes up to 8 players per team, so it's not that far to being par for the course...essentially the top 16 players make the first two teams...and he's right there in the top 15 or so, even if his stats were disappointing.

Honest question, why does the SEC have 8 players on the first and second team? Don't all other conferences just do 5? Doesn't make a lot of sense.

They can place 5-8 players per team. Just the way they have always done it. So, in context, Jones on the "2nd team" isn't such a farce. It's about in line with where he deserved to be. He was not one of the top 7 players, but certainly was in the top 12-15, which is accurate for their 2nd team.

Next year I'd just assume everyone leaves who could go round 1.

The only guys I think have any remote chance of being back are Teague 25%, Lamb 25%, Kidd-Gilchrist 10%, Jones 10%.

Wiltjer is back. Ryan Harrow should definitely be an upgrade over Teague (and probably is the main reason M.T. leaves). Then the incoming Freshman, which could also include Shabazz, Noel, Bennett, Pollard, Jefferson + the 3 current commits.

Really excited to watch Zack Rosen and Penn play tonight for a chance at a playoff with Harvard. When I was a freshman in high school I played in a basketball tournament with a team comprised of kids from Youngstown and some kids from NJ. Well Rosen was one of those kids from NJ and he carried us to the championship averaging like 35 out of our 50 points a game lol. He was sick, but never thought he'd end up playing at this high a level.
