Kentucky has six players who average 9.8 ppg or better, so Davis is not looked to for scoring nearly as much as Robinson. Kansas only has two players above that mark.
Also, you mentioned the FG%. People don't realize how big of a difference that is. Extrapolate the numbers out and Davis would be averaging 21.9 ppg if he attempted as many shots as T-Rob.
Averages are fair, but not totals. The DDs and 20 point games shouldn't count because Robinson has twice as many games to draw from.
Finally, whether it should factor in or not, UK's #1 ranking will help Davis.
Every argument for Davis is for his defense...which yeah he plays incredible defense. But that's DPOY stuff. I realize it counts for NPOY, but I laugh every time the argument is brought up UK fans will say "yeah but Davis has more blocks..less fouls..less turnovers" okay? So use that in DPOY convo, not NPOY.
Who cares that Robinson shoots more than Davis? Robinson's going to be penalized in the voting because he's the main guy on his team, and Davis is one of 6 players who score double digits? lol stupidest argument ever, imo.
The DDs and 20 point games should count because that tells you a) how many tough teams Robinson has gone up against and b) in those games, he's an absolute beast. He plays his best games against ranked opponents, what a NPOY does.
