And Im in no way trying to play down what Matta has done at OSU. Im just calling out those who are calling out Coach Cal (and, as an IU fan, I hate UK) when Matta has had top 3-5 talent in that time frame and has done less. I thought the Georgetown match-up from 2006 back when we were a (completely overachieving) 2 seed was the worst. I think most people were expecting to lose that game going in. Pretty rare for a 2/7 match-up.

Interesting, and have no doubt how it works out. It worked out that way when Knight was at IU and had things rolling. I watched it personally a number of times. The guy knew when it was time to ride the officials. And it was only a matter of time before those calls started to go his way. Guys like Knight and K, know when and how to push the right buttons.
