My daughter got a hamster (Hammy) a few years ago when she was 2 and he was ok. Pretty boring, slept all day, ran in his wheel all night. Well, Hammy died. For some reason wife feels bad and gets our daughter another; so then along comes Prudence. This bitch is crazy! Out of all the hamsters in the store she had to pick this one. She never sleeps, spends all day working just to break/fuck up her cage, has escaped twice due to a faulty lid (which was ok for Hammy). So I buy a new cage and the plastic wheel attached squeals throughout our house, but if I put the lock on the wheel Prudence starts clawing and hissing! We have another daughter on the way in 4 weeks and need to get this damn thing out of here. My wife gave me the go ahead but said "don't want to know about it". She ate half of a hard plastic slide that is in her cage, I wish she would die.

When I was about 4 I tried to give my hamster a bath and I used Nair instead of shampoo. He didn't make it. :(

Just let it go outside. What's hard about that. Some cat will have lunch.

When I was little I had a hamster and left a pencil by his cage. He got a hold of it, chewed it up and died of lead poisoning. Try that.

I wouldn't just take it outside and let it go or something - that's no fun. Some better, more appreciative family will just adopt it to spite you. Take it outside and literally punt it.

I love the hamster dance compared to this thing. The first time she escaped I was watching Se7en late at night with the lights off and she darted across the room out of nowhere; scared the shit out of me! Maybe I should cut her head off and put it in a box.

DOTS candy about 4 at one time should do the trick.
Best to do it at night so you don't see it gasping for air.

Make a little pet cemetery on the property you'll have more ..plus it make the little one feel better

Note to all parents: As a father of three daughters set the rules about pets and set the standard high

1. Nothing related to the rat family is a pet
2. Pets have fur or hair no fur or hair not a pet
3. Lives in water not a pet
4. If your kid can't pick it up and carry it when they are 10 years old it not a pet
5. If a box is required to shit in it not a pet
6. Bacon is not a pet
7. Pets don't require a cage, tank or barn to sleep in
8. If it can stay out side for 3 hours when the Red Tail Hawk is out flying ... it is a pet
9. If someone else owed this pet before it not your pet now or ever
10. If it can't eat table scraps it could starve
11. Stray anything are not pets

Unless you were a kid in the 1940's I'm not sure it died of lead poisoning.
