I think the WCAL comes down to Smithville, Norwayne and Hillsdale. I'm not sure which order yet.

I'm with Nut on this one. Sorry Rings I dont think Northwestern is gonna have the horses. I, of course, am gonna have to go with the Cats to take it all. They will be big and athletic this year. Dalton may be decent also. Moyer is tough and they have some nice young talent around him.

I think the Cats will stand out in WCAL basketball. They are big and fast this year, with the perfect combo of size on the inside and speed on the outside, make for a dangerous combination.

Hate to say it but it looks like Norwayne is the top team...Rittman will be down this year with practically no size and a young core. The Indians will more than likely live and die by the 3

Well, I hate to get it goin in bball too but who are the Cats bball players? I recognize a few names on the football team and I think they have the point guard back from last year. He's not very tall but he's built and quick. I think they also have the big lanky boy back in the middle....who are all of these guys?

OK, this is going out to the n00bs here who don't know. I always pick Northwestern to everything in the WCAL every year. Football, basketball, wrestling, golf, baseball, the spelling bee, and battle of the bands. And yes some of my posts in that regard are filled with sarcasam.

All teams have some questions - noone returns all the starters from a great team. I actually do think the huskies will be pretty good - heard the coach say they have some size, some shooters, and a bunch of lefties (not to mention the best coach in the league). Norwayne will be good as well although they have been underachieving for years now. Hillsdale will drop a little without guys like crossen, moore, and their pg but will still be tough with Licata. Dalton loses a bunch but has a nice nucleus led by moyer. Smithville will also be decent with bates and klotzle - they have some losses as well (frizell). I believe the league comes down to one of those 5 - i can't see rittman, chippewa, or waynedale in the mix.

I haven't seen Norwayne play yet but I did here they looked really good this summer. I also heard that they crushed Northwestern in a scrimmage. I wasn't there.

I'm turning over a new leaf and trying to be positive. Just give me a chance fellas.

Norwayne will be the pre-season favorite I assume. I really think you will see a little more parody in bball this year. The only team that is weak will be Rittman. Chippewa will be much better. Don't count out my Bears. New(actually old one coming back) sheriff in town and he will get the most out of our boys. We got 2 nice additions which will help with our depth. I still think we may be a year away from being very competitive.

I don't think you can count out the Huskies, they will be awful young, but as always, play hard and well coached. They improved quite a bit throughout the summer at shootouts and scrimmages, takes a little time to replace who they have to replace. I don't see anyone running away with the league this year, I would however put Norwayne as the favorites.

Nice to see Riebe back at the reins! Bears are a year, possibly 2 away from a run!
