Rittman has to be one of the youngest teams in the league. I'm pretty sure they have 8 sophomores on the varsity roster.

Watched Norwayne vs Northwestern game tonight, the refs were really bad. I hope the Brandon Covert is ok. Bad collision with one of norwaynes players in the second.

How many basketball courts are in the new facility? Is it a wood court or some type of composite material?1486wd;1028054 wrote:Checked out the new hoops, wrestling, weight, etc facilities last Friday at dalton. All I can say is wow. there are 2 courts if memory serves, lots of room. It is a composite material, but different then the ones they were putting in courts in the 80s, it seemed to be very comfortable. I was told (although I didn't look at it) that there was a new boys locker room as well and that they were renovating the old boys locker room into the girls locker room. The old girls would then just be for visitors. Also is a walking track. Was very impressed.

Listened to 2nd half on Wqkt -
Nate Davis 20 pts, Fry 12 pts, Harris 8 pts, Wallace 10pts, 9 reb. team 52 pct. shooting and 14-18 FT , Lville 48 pct. 11-13FT
Norwayne 27 reb, Loudonville 24 reb. ( I think Lville has 3 6'5'' kids)
Norwayne was up by 5 to 10 most of the game. It got close late, obviously - big put back by Davis late and also key 1 and 1 makes by Maibach. Wallace was big in 3rd quarter.

Walking track is nice. Wish Orrville would have done that for community members to use instead of the high school hallways.1486wd;1028325 wrote:there are 2 courts if memory serves, lots of room. I think the design of the new high school will eliminate walkers inside the school?? Right?RedRider1;1028831 wrote:Walking track is nice. Wish Orrville would have done that for community members to use instead of the high school hallways.
One thing our multi-purpose facility needs is the lockeroom space. I know the building is designed in a way that lockerooms can be added without major renovation, but lockeroom space is MUCH needed at Orrville. Too bad the funds didn't allow us to add those from the start.

Bears lose a tough one to NW at home tonight after leading most of the game. On the bright side, it was nice to see the youth getting more play time and doing well. As my "pop" always says, you don't let a senior play on a team with a losing record unless they are lights out and you have no other options. We have lots of options! Go Bears.

Woh... My calculation is all screwed up. Uh oh...Paul;1029685 wrote:Norwayne has avg 64 PPG before last night game and they scored 65 against LV' need check stats.
I've gotta get that fixed. Thanks for the heads up. Somebody mentioned it earlier, too, but I figured it was off 'cuz I was missing a game. It's definitely wrong. I'm pretty sure I have all scores entered correctly... it's just calculating incorrectly. Hmm...
UPDATE:
Well... Norwayne is the only team that is wrong in the list. It's all done automatically, so time to go look at the code. Ugh. Sorry guys.
UPDATE:
Alright. I figured out the issue. When I enter the schedules into the database, in order to avoid a "divide by zero" error and forbid the league standings pages from coming up before every team has played at least one game, I enter the score for the 1st game on each team's schedule as 1-1. My query ignores this game until that team has played at least 1 game. Unfortunately for Norwayne, their 1st game was scheduled to be against Wellington, which is now on 2/18/2012. So, I'm changing that score from 1-1 to 0-0. It was adding 1 PF and 1 PA to Norwayne's total then dividing by 1 too many games, and that's why it was returning those numbers. It'll be fixed momentarily...
UPDATE:
It is now fixed. There were 3 other teams who had the same issue, so I went ahead and fixed them, as well. Thanks again for the heads up!
I also entered in tonight's final score: Northwestern 57 Waynedale 54.
