I do not have a link. Brandon Castel of the O-Zone was discussing it and said Miller was trying to go back in but was not allowed. He didn't specifically say it was a doctor's decision, but I have heard interviews before on injuries at OSU with Tressel and he always said the doctor has the final say. I doubt that has changed.

Fickell just told the media that Nathan Williams is done for the season and is likely looking at another surgery. Perhaps he can get a medical redshirt and play another year.

One more bad thing that's happened this very forgettable season.

Now they're reporting it's microfracture surgery. I'd say his football career is most likely over. Few come completely back from that surgery.

It all depends on his ankle. If he's well enough to make cuts, he will be a formidable weapon that OSU has lacked; of not, we'll see Illinois do what MSU did.

If Bauserman ends up playing at any point in time, then chalk this one up to the loss column, probably ugly.

I take it micro fractures don't have a good recovery rate? Losing Williams seems to be par for the course this season.

He also said Guiton was getting reps on special teams. I don't see Guiton getting a chance to play unless Miller and Bauserman go down.

I don't think it's necessarily an end to his career, but you definitely can't expect him to be nearly as quick or explosive for now on. With microfractures of the knee, think Greg Oden, Tracy McGrady, or Kenyon Martin. Of course Amare and Kidd have both had it and have come back pretty well.

It's usually a successful procedure with shorter recovery times, but it can go either way for a serious athlete. A successful surgery to you and me may not be considered successful to a college or pro athlete.

It's really hard to tell what the outcome will be. Kellen Winslow, Marques Colston, and Bruce Smith all had it. They were all very successful at returning to a high level. Winslow had his best season as a pro the year after his surgery.

@elevenwarriors Eleven Warriors

Not surprising, but we've been able to confirm Nathan Williams will seek medical redshirt and will be returning to Ohio State next season.

The defense next year should be insanely good, if Williams makes it back.

It will still lack depth, quickness and experience at LB. Who would have thought this even a year or so ago? Too many injuries, defections and missing out on two stud Ohio recruits.

Mistake? How do you make a mistake in what you believe? You were very passionate in contradicting yourself.

So you've never come across information in your life that completely changed your view on something you believed differently earlier? Or the course of time has never softened your views on something you may have had much stronger feelings about before?

Well aren't you special.
