Carl is the little boy, not the black dude.

The black dude is appropriately named "T-Dog"

lol

I'm thinking T-Dog is eventually going to die/turn into zombie. I bet somehow some of those corpses' blood got into his wound and for whatever reason is slower reacting than other cases.

Next week's episode looks awesome with Shane and Otis up on the shelf looking thing just picking them off. My guess is they run out of bullets with about 15 left and say f'it and run.

My guess is Rick's pistol saves Otis and Shane somehow.

Last night they had 1 hour of show (obviously commercial included) and could have gotten the same story across in 15 minutes. I didn't like that.

Watch the drugs have something to do with retarding or perhaps mutating the virus. Crystal meth probably makes the hunger pains go away :)

Precisely. I'm not a huge fan of reality tv, much less a scripted show trying to show the reality of the human condition when it's so obvious and something we are all too familiar with. We get the pain of a child in critical condition - how is that supposed to be remotely entertaining? Do we really tune into a television drama to see that sort of thing? Lazy writing, IMO.

Just watched both episodes. First episode was amazing, especially the opening 25 minutes when the heard was going through.

Second episode blew. As has been said, the 1st 45 minutes should have been tied up in the first 15 minutes segment before the first commercial. Didnt need to waste that segment, plus the next two 10 minute segments. The final scene however was awesome setting up for next week.

LOL, you complain about the show yet don't seem to have much knowledge of it.

That was my thought about T-Dog too. When he started showing "feverish" symptoms, it made me think back to Jim, the guy that was bit and they left on the side of the road in season 1, and the fever he developed. I think his blood mixed with an infected corpse when he cut himself.

My guess is Walt comes to take back his meth.

I forgot about Jim! We don't know if he actually died/turned or not. If nothing else, this show knows how to keep you guessing and on your toes. What exactly did they give T-Dog?

I know I said it before, but the look of FML on Shane and Otis's faces was really powerful.

As a fan of both shows, I noticed it right away as well...

As for T-Dog, it's possible, due to the high fever/discoloration of veins, but I'm not sure yet. How funny would it be if the "bad infection" he had from that cut, was actually that of the outbreak?

The writer said that animals were not exposed to the virus, but he also wouldn't comment if blood/gore could infect a person; as somebody mentioned Andrea hacking that zombie to death in episode 1 while getting it's blood all over her face.

I really like how they are keeping it suspensful...next week should have a lot of action!

I didn't even know about this series until a co-worker gave me the first season on dvd back in march....instantly addicted, but loved watching the entire season without a week to think and keep me guessing lol.

Ive started doing that with all my shows. Either wait a few seasons and watch them all at once. Or just DVR for like a month, watch 4 episodes and do it again. I actually think it makes it easier to follow and remember stuff without the week each time.

The only problem is you get spoilers unintentionally when the show is going on and you are 3 episodes behind.

absolutely!

This season though has 13 episodes so it will be twice as long as last season....it will be interesting to see how it differs from the comic, which I am glad they are making it different than the comic.

Of course. I have never seen a show with this much suspense. It's great.

I thought in the first season they said if you get bit or blood gets into a cut or into your body somehow, it could infect you. I think it was one of the very first episode's when Rick was being schooled by the black guy and his son.

That leads me to believe that getting blood on you will not infect you, but getting blood mixed with your blood will.
