I think there are just 2 more episodes left called "Birth" and "Afterbirth". Wonder when the next season will start?

The finale sucked balls. Wasn't happy with it. Not sure how I'll like a new family every season. Was fantastic up until last night...hope they can rebound.

I sortof agree with you. While I didn't hate it as much as you, not sure how I feel about the direction the show is going. Still love it.

On a side note, at the end, the wife notes how more families will move in, and their role is basically to scare them away. WHY NOT SPOOK THEM WHEN THEY FIRST VISIT THE HOUSE BEFORE THEY BUY IT???

I didn't think the episode was terrible, but it didn't meet my expectations. We didn't really learn anything new, like the trailer for the episode said we would. Killing of Ben right away last night was kind of odd, I thought.

Overall, though, I thoroughly enjoyed the season and will ask for it on DVD when it comes out.

Who says season 2 is in the same location? I felt the story wrapped up pretty neatly last night. [SP]The good ghosts control the house (as evidenced by how ms badass hayden wouldn't interfere with family christmas) and jessica lange is going to raise the anti christ. End of story. The story doesn't end on a good note for the rest of the world but it doesn't have to have a happy ending all the way around.[/SP]

The President of FX is in love with the show and I saw a story where he said it'd be on the air for years to come. Every season could be a new cast, new locale, and new tale. It'd get pretty damned boring with them chasing people out all second season with beetlejuice pranks and arguing amongst themselves.

Glad it's going to be a new family/cast...wasn't a big fan of them towards the end of the season.

Get some hotter chicks in there

I thought the show was good and will definitely watch again.

They really liked saying "shit." I thought that got annoying. It was like "yippee....we can say shit on cable after 9 pm, so we're going to say it every other word."

PS- Did that dudes wife fuck a ghost? I was confused by that part....
I just watched the Pilot episode and really like it, I recorded the finale yesterday. Like it so far and not reading the thread any further....Not until I catch up episode by episode.

Good show so far and if you want to catch up on the series: http://www.sidereel.com/american_horror_story

Anyone else think Ryan Murphy is an excellent concept man with horrible long-term follow through?

The first season of this show and the first couple of Nip/Tuck were some of the best seasons of television I've ever watched. I would argue Glee was an excellent concept idea as well (although not my personal favorite).

He has excellent ideas for shows and the first order of episodes are usually fantastic. Then he loses interest and the show begins to tank. Nip/Tuck was unwatchable past the 3rd season. Glee is nearly the stupidest show on television right now which is saying something considering the disaster that is NBC Wednesdays.

I loved the first season of AHS but I'm not expecting much in future seasons, as evidenced by its creator's track record.

Chalk me up as someone who wasn't thrilled with the finale. I really enjoyed the season overall though. A question I have that they never answered though is why did the maid age? She was young when she was killed.

That's a good question. I'm curious where they are going to go with this show next season. I'm hooked on FX right now, with this show and Wilfred.

Anyone know if Wilfred will have a 2nd season?

I'm not sure where they are going to go with next season but I will watch. Wilfred was renewed for a 2nd season.

No, I don't have enough time for more shows, especially old ones, where I'd need to catch up. Current shows that I watch, most with the wife, are:

AHS
Wilfred
Pawn Stars
Grays Anatomy
Desperate Housewives
(Guilty Pleasure) House Hunters International (Wife loves it, and it is actually quite interesting)
Two and a Half Men
How I Met Your Mother
And we used to watch Friday Night Lights. Sucks that is gone.

Wilfred is a comedy on FX with Elijah Wood.

For some strange reason FX renewed Louie also.

I think the maid either had some kind of slut curse where she'd appear alluring to all men but not women, or more likely, she had the ability to change her appearance to suit her mission of confusing the couple for the house's evil benefit and thats why she showed him her true older form when he finally began to see things for what they were.
