Apparently the NCAA is still investigating them in connection with the investigation into Bobby D stemming from the charity fundraiser incident. Apparently they may have been overpaid for some work they did for his company, and therefore they may not be reinstated by the NCAA this week. Looks like Herron may have to sit one additional game, and possibly two for Posey.

This whole situation has become a complete clusterf^*!. Honestly, I think the NCAA comes out looking the worst because of this whole situation because it exposed how inefficient and ineffective they are at their job. In my opinion, it's time to scrap the NCAA and start over.

Herron, I don't think we need him. We have two very capable RB's. A veteran WR would be nice though.

I agree with you on the fact that the NCAA looks the worst in all of this. They are doing this to the Buckeyes while there is plenty of corruption going on elsewhere. Did they do this much "investigation" in the whole Cam Newton thing?

Wrote this in the OSU-Nebraska thread:

If the NCAA continues to drag this out and suspends Herron and Posey for even more games, I have now changed my views on how a school should deal with the NCAA if it thinks there is a violation.

Lie, delay, hide stuff, shred documents and do anything you can to keep the NCAA from finding out about a violation. Don't cooperate because it gets you nothing but more grief.

The SEC has had it right all these years. It's time for all the big schools to follow their lead.

This could be the straw that breaks the camel's back IMO. We still have the talent to beat everyone but Wisconsin IMO, but who knows if the coaching will ever catch up. These players have to feel helpless on both sides of the ball. They are still playing their guts out and this could be the thing that take's that fire from them. SMH at this whole season.

We do not have the talent to beat Wisconsin. Nebraska maybe, but no close to Wisconsin this year.

Isn't that what I said?

Anyway, LOL at this comment from the 11W board
SCENE: AN UNDERPASS OSTENSIBLY UNDER 315 OR 71
A broken but well dressed man sits on the concrete incline underneath the bridge shaking an empty
Dr. Pepper can he's managed to break the tab off of and into the the body of the can.

BROKEN MAN

Let's have a real good *wipes away tears* time, let's have a real good time, let's have a real good....
The broken man weeps inconsolably.

As someone who works for DP, I find this very amusing.

You may not have said it, but reps for posting it...there's a lot to be said for this line of thinking.

OSU got caught...and they now have players piling more and more on to the situation. When you are under investigation already, you should come clean entirely and stop having new incidents or the NCAA will keep looking.

Also...Tressell tried to lie and cover it up...but he failed at that approach.

I believe this dates back prior to when all of the shit hit the fan last year. Not an excuse..but it wasn't like all of this went down AFTER the major issues arose.

If this incident happend this summer like is being reported, I think you cut your losses with both of them and just remove them from the team, they do not deserve to play another down for OSU. NCAA or not, they did this while they new the NCAA was conducting their investigation.

No they didn't. And Herron said he has submitted paperwork showing that his pay was valid

Is the press conference going to be shown by the local stations? Or is there a place on the net to watch it?

Sabino and Fellows involved too, but they have already been reinstated... not sure how. Boom Posey and Hall out for the Nebraska game. They have all applied for reinstatment.

Smith again says he is confident there are no more violations out there. Also feels no institutional control.
