LOL. I really have no idea how it works. Go to the lybairy's website from home, from the Kindle, etc. Actually go TO the library to do it on their internets, etc.

Do you forget how dumb I am?

Since Mr. Science didn't have the answer, I resorted to my good friend Mrs. Google.
To rent an e-book on your Kindle, simply visit your local library’s website, enter your library card number, find the book you want to rent and click “Send to Kindle.” The website will then ask for your Amazon account information. This process can also be done from your iPhone or Android, according to reports. Amazon execs say the e-book rentals should remain in your Amazon library for about two weeks.

Are these only black and white besides the Fire? I'm more interested in the free 3g and web browsing than reading. If I could browse for free I would be pretty interested.

Pretty interested in the fire after watching YouTube hands on videos, glad I preordered it and glad I download the free amazon app of the day every day and get some good apps.

Yes they're black and white. But you wouldn't want one for the 3g, I hear their browser is terrible.

Just received the $79 version. It looks pretty cool and it is easy to add books and what not. The no keyboard kind of sucks but for being so cheap I don't mind it.

I really like my Kindle. Well worth the $79 bucks, especially because you can usually find any book for "free".

Actually going to buy one for my wife for her birthday.

What would the OC recommend between the Kindle Touch and the Nook Touch? Both are roughly $100 models. What are the pluses and minuses to each?

There are people here who have both. I can't read their reviews, if they are inclined to share?

I'm listening... Just looked it up, and it looks cool. What are some of the types of books? I would assume that this goes BEYOND the classics, that come with every other eReader?
