First tape was the Above the Rim soundtrack at an open flea market, the only such place that would sell it to me at 10 years old. REGULATORS!

awesomeness.

Now that G'n'R is eligible for the R&R hall of fame this album needs to get its due. Definitely one of the five best albums of the 80's...may not have been as influential as other works, but as far as being timeless it doesn't get much better than this. I routinely work out in the gym listening to Appetite, I can't say the same thing about Pearl Jam or Nirvana.

I think it was 1975.

it was a 33 vinyl.
Same here. My mom "accidently" threw it away so I had to repurchase on 8 track.

Mount up!

That is a pretty good soundtrack actually. Some more mellow tunes and such.

I know. I left it lying on the newspapers and I think she threw it in the fireplace. I call shenanagins because her history proceeded her. She apparently threw away my older brothers' Tommy James "Crimson & Clover" 45 at least 3x's claiming it "devil music."

There was one old tape I had that I wish I had never lost or was never tossed out.

I had one that was all about backmasking (backward messaging on tapes). There were a few that were pretty creepy.
