At least nothing I've came across yet has been taken.

So I get home from work yesterday and notice the dead bolt on the patio sliding door is unlocked and upon further examination I notice the handle lock is unlocked too. Now this isn't typically uncommon because my fiancee likes to let the dog out and forget to lock it back up reguardless of the countless times I remind her to lock it up... but I was the last one to leave this morning and I know I locked it up so something is up. Then I go into the bedroom and my screen is pushed out from the window and the window's locks have been broken due to someone prying them open. So i immediatly go into the closet and grab my shotgun (i know impractical, but it's all I have) and start looking around and call the cops. But from what I can see, nothing has been stolen. All the tv's are here, video game systems, dvd's.. checks.. jewelry .. only thing missing is a couple peanut m&m's that he/she/they casually dropped on the floor on the way out and left the lid on the candy dish off.
Only thing the cop could figure is something scared them and they left. But no drawers had been rifled through or anything and everything easy to grab was still left there.

Have one but it was at her mothers house b/c it had to go to the vet yesterday.

He's a little worthless beagle anyways and would just ask whoever broke in to feed him.

I had a lab that barked constantly that I gave to my sister.. he would have been at least effective for once.

Might've stolen jewelry or something. You'll realize it later, I'm sure.

If you're going to break into a house, you aren't just going to walk out with a flatscreen...that's stupid. You'd look super suspicious.

Did you happen to look out the window and see a naked black man with a smiley face tattoo on his ass running the opposite direction?

Yeah, I'm sure they took something small that you wouldn't necessarily notice right away.

Oddly enough the cop asked if he had gone through the medicine cabinet. I told him I didn't know but he left the advil if he did.

Had that happen to me awhile ago.

Over about a year a number of places got broken into and they took just cash/change and jewelry. I didnt have any of that so they didnt take anything.

I got home and noticed a blind open that I never keep open. I go up and obviously someone was in there. I go down to the road becuase a cop had someone pulled over a block away. I flagged him down and he wouldnt even get outta his cruiser.

I noticed a few things that made sense a few weeks later. The blind on the left side was open, and that is never open. It was closeer to the front door of the apt complex. I just thought it was because it was closer to the door. Once the neighbor was broken into later I noticed the left blind was open as well, but that isnt the side closer to the door. I did notice the stuff that the crook looked through that he dumped over had all the stuff to the left side. I started to figure it was a lefty who did it because he would dump the jars to the left and go through it!

Always thought it was the grandson of the old lady that lived on the bottom floor.
