Hey, thanks guys, I really appreciate it all.

He's still in the hospital, but will be getting released to his house tomorrow. He's still doing as well as possible, very weak/tired, and not at all thrilled about the prospect of not being mobile for a stretch of time, as he was pretty active. I think as a family, we're all just thankful that it wasn't worse. He's retired, but usually hangs out with people, so thankfully someone was around to get him help quickly, otherwise, I don't know what could have happened.

As for me, now that the shock has worn off, I'm kind of a bit more at ease. I'm going to go over to his house and set up a room for him, and probably one for me tomorrow morning, but today I took the day off, and am pretty much taking some time, working on some music articles I've got to finish, and kind of relaxing in thought. I do agree that this is a blessing on some levels, that it wasn't worse, that it will give me even MORE time to spend with my dad, that I'll probably be able to slow down a bit...I've made it a really hectic/busy year, so the prospect of getting back to basics with my dad for this time is refreshing as well.

Again, thanks everyone for the thoughts.

good to hear he's being released..just bundle him up some snacks, dvds, books, etc..maybe with this cold ass weather he won't be too down about not being able to do a lot at the moment..
