So my cousin bought a hard drive to play videos through his xbox, and while the xbox reads the drive, my computer (PC) doesn't read it at all (I have the 800Gb of video I wanted to throw onto the hard drive). It simply says "drive is working properly."

I went into the computer administration and tried to simply assign the hard drive a letter, but it didn't give me that option.

Your computer needs to install drivers....it should do it as soon as you plug it in to the usb.

Are you sure your usb port is good
