Not sure if this was mentioned on a game thread but remember that grand slam HR Josh Hamiliton hit the other night? Well...listening to 92.3 this morning they said some "mom & pop" home improvement store in the Arlington area was having a "if Josh Hamilton hits a grand slam in the month of September your carpet and countertop purchase is free" promotion. Apparently they are paying out the wazoo...
They also said the guy took out an insurance policy on it too though, so he is golden.

I believe so yes. But, I talked to him earlier this year about when White would get the call up. They said they didnt like his "off" pitches and that he didn't know how to put guys away well enough. He said he and the brass saw him as a 3/4 starter. That is pre-surgery. Obviously when they drafted him that wasnt the case, but the progression they wanted obviously wasnt there.

^ Makes sense. 3 starter was about what I expected from him too before he got hurt, but a legit #3. Crazy numbers about the finger injuries though. He got shelled again tonight for Colorado.

6 runs in 5 1/3, including 2 homers... I hope he continues this after his parting shot to Cleveland after he was traded.

That trade looks better and better with each start. I really believe Jimenez will be back to his old self next year.

Clippers won their 2nd straight Governors Cup last night. Not bad, considering all of the players sent up to the Tribe this year.

Pretty damn good. Wish these players would just pan out in the MLB instead of being AAAA players.

I think they found a keeper with Kipnis...3 more hits today. And Chis seems to be swinging much better. Hopefully both of these guys turn out to be good players.

So after I have calmed down a little bit about not winning the Central, I'm going to feel a little better if we finish in 2nd and are at .500.

Chiz has a sweet swing. I actually like him going forward.

As soon as he was traded he tweeted "Denver or Cleveland, let's be honest, I prefer Denver" or something similar to that. Now, is it that big of a jab? Not really, but I get tired of hearing people, especially pompous ass athletes give parting shots like that after they leave.

He could have just said nothing and not burned any bridges.

That is right, bro! When I get to a real computer, I am going to give you a "rep" for that!

Santana has had a very good year, despite not having much else around him.

25 homers and 70+ RBI in his first full season. Very good. I believe he's also top 5 in BB's and has a pretty solid .OBP

Santana had decent year at the plate, but he really needs to put in some time with his fielding. He is not a good catcher and a terrible first baseman.

Solid, but I have high expectations for him to be honest. Batting .238 is a joke.

Might be a nicer city but he'll regret going there when his ERA balloons to 10+ in that Mile High air.

That's another...+2.

Some very good observations there, hoops.

I am pretty impressed with Carlos breaking the club record for homers by a switch hitter. That is cool. Asbrubal is right up there, too.
