Thats why you take a knee when you pick that ball off.

A coach was saying that to #22 on the sideline after the INT.

Curious, but why? Assumption or not on the PAT, the game IS over if you knee the ball.

You can't take a knee there. The spread was Maryland -3 I believe. Gotta cover them points.

Are the odds of fumbling a snap in the rain while attempting to kill the clock and Miami recovering and driving 70 yards in 30 seconds for a game winning field goal really any worse than the odds of missing a PAT, Miami scoring a TD in 30 seconds, and then converting a 2 point conversion to tie it up? They both seem like near lottery odds in my opinion.

I don't have any problem with him housing it. It's not his job to not fuck up extra points.

Put it this way. Ive seen about 10 missed PATs in games Ive watched over the years. Never once seen a team lose a fumble when taking a knee.

Man, what a game. I was there with buddies. We were three rows behind the Miami bench. It was great. We actually were surrounded by Miami fans, who were actually pretty cool. But, we still talked so much smack. I'll post some pics later.

As to the game, it was a downpour in the 4th. That is why Maryland missed that kick, high snap and awful hold. Miami's RB were very good, and their line got push most of the night. Maryland's line was pretty good too, and exploited the Miami corners with screens all night.
I honestly do not get the Miami calls on that last drive. They had a 3rd and 4 at midfield with 55 seconds left. They have been gaining 3-4 yards a carry easily. Instead they line up 4 wide and throw, and miss. Then on 4th and 4, they line up 3 wide and pass it into double coverage instead of running the ball. Bad playcalling by Al in my view.

Maryland's helmets were sick, the other parts were alright.
I still have no voice haha.
