In addition to making you a scouting guru, taking courses in accounting makes you "business minded"

How is what you're saying about Troy Smith any different?Pick6;909417 wrote: you should tell that to other people on this board crowning Cam Newton the next Peyton Manning or Troy Aikman after 2 games.
What? How? LOL. By saying he should start for one of the worst franchises in the NFL over a bust?!?BR1986FB;909609 wrote:How is what you're saying about Troy Smith any different?
Sure, some people may believe that he's an "NFL caliber QB" but you seem to think he's the next Kurt Warner. "Just give em a chance and he'll be a Hall of Famer." That's how it comes across.

He may belong on an NFL roster as a THIRD stringer but he doesn't deserve to be STARTING over ANY QB in the league, including Alex Smith.
He's NOT an NFL starting QB. He may belong on a roster but he's NOT a starter. That's just blatant OSU bias. If you polled the nation on this and had a large sample size, probably 98% would say he's NOT an NFL starter while the 2% (OSU homers) believe he would be.Pick6;909619 wrote:What? How? LOL. I'd tend to agree but have you seen Tavaris Jackson?BR1986FB;909633 wrote:He's NOT an NFL starting QB. He may belong on a roster but he's NOT a starter. That's just blatant OSU bias. If he was so dynamite, why haven't teams with crappy QB situations (Indy, Jax, etc) knocked on his door to be their starter? Answer...because he's NOT that talented.
This only makes the agrument against Troy Smith stronger. Do you think the NFL blackballed him or something? I just dont get it. If he was good enough to be a starter, he would be. Its as simple as that.robj55;909856 wrote:I'd tend to agree but have you seen Tavaris Jackson?
In defense of Smith (idk why i'm doing this...), I think the reason no one is asking him to be their backup or 3rd string is because he was asking for so much money. I don't think Smith should be a starter, but he should definitely be at least 3rd string somewhere in the NFL. Hell, I'd take him in Cleveland as 3rd string.BR1986FB;909633 wrote:why haven't teams with crappy QB situations (Indy, Jax, etc) knocked on his door to be their starter? I have no qualms with the "3rd stringer" comment but there are people on here saying he should be a friggin STARTER?SportsAndLady;909892 wrote:In defense of Smith (idk why i'm doing this...), I think the reason no one is asking him to be their backup or 3rd string is because he was asking for so much money. Haha yeah I could definitely see that...but he'd be a pretty solid 3rd stringer. When I think of "we're down to our 3rd stringer" I think, we're fucked. But if Troy Smith was your 3rd stringer you could at least compete. Which is all you can really ask for out of your 3rd stringer.BR1986FB;909893 wrote:I have no qualms with the "3rd stringer" comment but there are people on here saying he should be a friggin STARTER?
I'd want him NOWHERE near Cleveland Browns Stadium. First time McCoy throws a pick, the **** (not talking about ALL of them) Buckeye homers would be chanting "We want Troy" and then it begins, AGAIN.
Mantooth posted earlier that he heard he has been blackballed by the league but the reasons were not disclosed.Rotinaj;909868 wrote:This only makes the agrument against Troy Smith stronger. Negative Ned on knr reported it, but he wouldn't say why. Also, ned said that he had quite a few problems with Smith when they were in school at St Eds together...so maybe he has an axe to grind.jordo212000;910594 wrote:I love conspiracies.

Good argument. How many games has Troy won as a starter? How many of those were in the playoffs?Pick6;919762 wrote:because the 49ers have won all of 3 games??? lulz. let me know when they do something in the playoffs.
what is alex smiths record as a starter? how many games has he won in the playoffs?karen lotz;919765 wrote:Good argument. How many games has Troy won as a starter? How many of those were in the playoffs?
