Obviously not as good of a runner (though still a good runner) and not the physical specimen Pryor is. I still think that Miller has the physical and mental skills that will make him a better all-around QB than Pryor.
100% agree, good analysis.

I feel like the commentary was pretty good early in the game but has steadily gone down hill as there hasn't been much to talk about since it's so lopsided.

Spielman is in love with the aggressiveness. I'm worried he's going to try to jump out of the booth to get on the field. Someone needs to tie him down.

I don't necessarily mean good, but also ridiculous at times. It's not the best commentating... but it's definitely interesting/humorous with some of the repetition.

"this should be 35-0!"

I was going to post this as well. Moron didn't say anything about Bama or Auburn. Bama had the same score, and Auburn was losing and still is

Seems fitting that a former defensive coordinator would record a shut-out in his first game as the head coach. Congrats to Coach Fickell and the 2011 Buckeyes!

At this point I've no doubt that Miller will become the starter at some point, but I'm also convinced that we will be ok with either him or Bauserman under center.

They picked up on talking points and just beat the horse dead.

I'm shocked at how many of you are/were criticizing Bauserman

Wonder if Fickell wanted to rub some extra salt in the wound because they gave Ianello the job? He kept blitzing. I loved it.

Loved what I saw out of the team today. 42-0 is a very sound win no matter who you're playing.

I'm liking what I'm seeing out of Luke Fickell.

Just a few points from my observations.
  • Defense stayed aggressive, including multiple blitz packages. I hated previous OSU defenses for playing so much zone and not being aggressive. Silver Bullet defense returning?
  • Braxton Miller is already a better 'QB' than TP. I said it last year while BM was still in HS as well
  • Depth at RB is amazing. Carlos Hyde is a stud.
  • I liked that OSU kept the foot on the pedal, even when the score got out of hand. This is a game the defense probably gives up a score in previous seasons.
  • Braxton Miller to Evan Spencer could become a great connection over the next few years.

Dunno why band members having heat stroke was being laughed at on here but

.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Dozens of heat-related injuries were reported at Ohio Stadium this afternoon. A triage center had to be set up at the stadium to deal with all the victims.

One person in the stadium posted on Twitter that they have saw several people carried from their seats on stretchers.

610 WTVN's Dave Maetzold reported that firefighters opened fire hydrants outside the stadium to help fans cool off.
"It's as bad as I've ever seen it," he said.

ESPN reported Ohio State University band members were "dropping like flies" and being treated for heat. Maetzold reported four band members were taken to the hospital. The head referee was also treated for heat-related injuries during Ohio State's 42-0 win over Akron. The temperature on the field was 105[SUP]o [/SUP]during the game.

I was going to say earlier at halftime that Mark May is a complete MORON! He was acting like Akron was actually in the game...if not for the Smith fumble at the 2 and a missed FG it would have been at least 31-0 at the half. I liked how Lou Holtz was trying to make him feel stupid.

So people got hot and they had to go to a fire hydrant? Why is it still not funny that band members were 'dropping like flies'? lol
