Looks like everyone is pretty quiet about Barnes. Unfortunately, I think it's a done deal and he's going to Duke.

Hopefully my reverse mojo works, but I seriously think it's over and his destination is Durham. Now I hate K even more. :)

Durham is waiting with baited breath.

With Irving, Hariston, Thornton, and Curry in the fold for next year a Barnes signing would make Duke a legitimate title contender.

This kid has played the recruiting game better than anyone I can remember.

Count me in the group waiting with bated breath.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but I would say it's a done deal. I think Irving ended up sealing the deal. Not him himself, but that fact that Duke's Duke and Irving is playing there. Why wouldn't Harrison want to play at Duke, with his best friend, on a club that will be an NCAA title favorite?

I haven't been a big recruiting follower for a long time, though -- haven't followed it even at a medium level since Scheyer's class and not intently since Redick -- so maybe I'm way off.

How about this scenario? Barnes and Irving are close, so they go to school where they can spend a lot of time together. They just play for schools that are 8 miles apart. Sort of a Henderson and Ellington type of situation.

Probably just wishful thinking on my part.

You'd have to think Duke would be the #2 class behind OSU if they get Barnes. From everything I've heard it's a done deal, but will be watching ESPNU tomorrow nervously.

And, yes, we certainly have. Look forward to more. BUT THANK GOD none of them will be about Poplar Bluff's "treasure." :D

I'm probably as glad to see him go as you were Melchionni (in terms of hating his physical appearance -- you didn't think I was actually going to compare the ping pong hard hitta to JJ did you, who captivated a nation en route to capturing the ACC scoring crown with grace and artistic beauty from 30 feet, unlike...)

On second thought, that's way too many smile faces. I need hit in the hand with a hammer. Or choked.

I will give credit where credit is due, though. He dominated Duke's ass in Cameron. No denying that.

Should be a fun year.

Duke is going to look really average on TV friday night, and Monday too. Without smith in the back court they will not have any explosiveness to the offense. Very workmanlike without him.

Wouldn't be surprised if the haters came out in droves after a close victory over UNC-Charlotte

If Harrison Barnes ends up at duke, then coach k has finally changed with the times. His pursuit of Wall and Barnes indicates that he will sign "One and Dones".He realized duke could not compete on the national stage without them.

Never said he was a lock. I said, "If I had to take a guess, I would say Duke's got him." But I also stated that I don't follow recruiting. I waited with great anticipation today, though, and I will never do that again.

Huge loss for Duke. Coach K and the staff got owned on this one, especially considering Roy started his assault on Barnes very late in the game.

I redact my original comment.. The times, they are changing at a later date to be determined when we see how good Duke is this year.

I'm pretty disappointed.

When coach k goes after the One and Dones the way he did with Wall and Barnes means the time have changed. Evwentually, he will land one.

Duke looked pretty good in this one. Moved the ball quite well. Nice game from Andre Dawkins.
Singler is a one man wrecking crew. He could do whatever he wanted. Probably will be the ACC POY. Outstanding player, Duke will go as far as he takes them.

btw, FIU got beat by 29 tonight by Monmouth
Does this mean Monmouth beats Carolina by 14?
