Heisman hopeful Dan Persa has yet to throw a pass this season. They (and the Big 10) could have used Persa this week against Army. Rough week for the conference.

Wont happen. He isnt a RB or QB. I think only one defensive guy (Woodson) has won the Heisman in over 50 years.

If Denard couldn't get there last season with his numbers, I don't see how he ever will with the current team around him. 2570 Passing and 1702 Rushing in the Big Ten. That is ridiculous, regardless of record.

His last 2 games have not been very good. He racked up good rushing yards this last game, but his passing has been pretty bad. Unless he drastically improves and Michigan wins 9 or 10 games, I don't see his name even being mentioned.

you're right, but I though for sake of argument I'd mention him...another player who may start getting some mention is Russel Wilson, especially if Wisky continues to dominate

Persa's still recovering (hasn't played) from an achilles injury, correct? Not saying he was a heisman favorite, but it's not like he's out there throwing picks.

It is a running gag. ytownfootball vehemently argued earlier in the thread that Persa was a candidate.
