I have three brothers. I am the oldest and only brawled with my brother that was about 18 months younger than me. During our teenage years we had many a brawl. Holes in the drywall and damaged doors. My dad would get so pissed at us.
One time when I was 17 and enjoying a bowl of oatmeal. I had my feet kicked up on the coffee table and the bowl resting just below my chin on a pillow because it was hot. The bowl was ceramic. I was giving my younger brother some shit about something (can't remember what it was). He had a temper and kicked the pillow knocking the bowl into my front teeth.
I ran my tongue across my teeth and realized one of my front teeth was chipped. I was enraged. I was a good looking young man and was going out with a hot chick at the time (now my wife). Thoughts of looking like a hillbilly instantly ran through my head. I saw red and it was on. Of course my brother knew I was fixing to kick his ass and bolted upstairs to my dad.
Dad was in the bathroom and my brother quickly ran around him. Dad put his arms out to separate us. I waited until dad eased up when he thought we were calmed down. Then I gave my brother the left hook around my dad right across the chops. Thankfully the dentist was able to repair the damage.
I bring this up becuase I have two teenage boys roughly the same age. They are both 6'+. When they fight it is like a bar room brawl. They just got into it tonight. My wife gets all out of joint when this happens. She grew up with just her and her brother who was several years older than she was. They fought but not like this. She fears they are going to be violent adults. I tell her to look at my brother and I. Not only are we not violent our relationship is the closest of all our brothers.
