damn. hoped the dolphins could have taken him with a 5th. oh well. good luck to TP. wish he wouldn't have gone to the raiders. I don't think he has much of a chance to succeed now.

I was going off something I read quickly the day before without looking it up and was off by 10 on both attempts and completions. Again I apologize to you and TPeezy and his family for my Roger Clemens moment. 27 of 39 against air is still not good, and the NFL scouts that were there said he had horrible accuracy.

agreed. didn't bradford complete every pass during his pro day? I don't hold much hope for TP (especially now that he's in Oakland), but would like him to succeed because of what OSU gave up to have hime.

for the raiders thats not a bad thing. considering how inept they are at evaluating talent. "Big? Fast? hmmmmmm. we'll take him."

FWIW i love this quote:
TP wrote:"I'd like to thank the commissioner, Mr. (Roger) Goodell, for giving me the opportunity to play in the NFL," he said. "It's a dream of mine to play quarterback here. We will not appeal. I'll serve (the suspension), along with my senior Buckeye buddies, because I did a wrong thing when I was young and I must serve it."
WHEN I WAS YOUNG??? dude, this was last year and you're 22 years old.

You have to think that Oakland sees him at qb to take him in the 3rd round, this year will be a sit back and learn year and next year maybe he will get a chance.

Jamarrrrrcus lol.

But seriously, the Raiders have no 2nd 3rd or 4th round pick next year? Al Davis is brilliant

Why not lol? College stats were almost equal, both had success with winning in college, pro style offense, one great attribute (speed for Pryor, arm for Jamarcus) and both were selected probably too high by Al Davis who is senile

Agreed about JaFraudus. Fat, lazy, unmotivated, in-it-for-the-money, and just happy to be cashin checks.

I think TP has a chip on his shoulder and will persevere. Yeah, he's young, says stupid shit, and tends to be a me-first guy, but that's what the NFL has turned into...hasn't it?

I know theyre not. But they were both selected too high because of one attribute that gave Davis a hard on. And had teams around them not exactly built to help their success

I figured he would go to the Raiders because of Al Davis, but yeah tough situation for sure.

"A Raiders source told ESPN.com's John Clayton that the team is looking at Pryor more as receiver than a quarterback at the NFL level."

Smart move.

Is there a way to find out what other teams put in a pick for Pryor? And any word on where the others went?

Not 100% sure but I think it goes round by round. So they announce it's the first round and teams have so long to submit a "bid" for that round. I'd assume no one else wanted Pryor in the 3rd, so there wouldn't be any other bids placed for him since he was off the board at that point.

Terrelle Pyror tells @miketirico that he'll appeal 5-game suspension if that's what Al Davis wants him to do. #MNF

I believe all teams submit their lists ahead of time. If there's a player they want, they tell the NFL in what round they'd take that player. The team with the highest pick who claims a particular player gets him. I believe there's some type of lottery in place to determine the order - it used to be broken into three groups (playoff teams were the last group and they had a lottery amongst themselves to determine the order - same for each of the other groups and the chances were weighted depending on how many wins they had).

So, every team in the league could have submitted a pick for Pryor in theory, but obviously no team was willing to spend higher than a 3rd round pick for him. It is possible that other teams submitted a 3rd round pick for Pryor, but Oakland obviously had the highest draft spot if that were the case.

To be fair, the stuff he sold was after his freshman year (the ring, gold pants, Fiesta Bowl sportsmanship award).

And who knows when that autographed equipment was actually signed.
