After surpassing Exxon for a brief period of time on Tuesday, Apple closed Wednesday as the most valuable company in the world.

Pretty crazy, given that 15 years ago many people thought they should fold up shop.

Even crazier is many experts feel Apple is actually undervalued.

This comes after the story that Apple had more cash on hand than the US Treasury.

I'm not sure it's a good thing anyway. The government will eventually try to split them up somehow.

Yahoo was one of the most valuable companies in the world at one point, now look at them.

Reading comprehension fail. That was from Tuesday, which I explained in my opening post. Apple briefly passed Exxon on Tuesday, but CLOSED Wednesday as the most valuable company.

Also, lol @ the Apple haters. Try to come up with any kind of BS they can.

Maybe so, but he is what makes that company tick. Even with his time off from the company. Either way, Apple isn't going anywhere any time soon. All this money they have sitting around makes you think they could give a little more to developers and have some lower cost products.

I believe they did have a chance to buy Google. They really failed at that.

Yahoo was the must-have tech company in the late 90's early 2000's, now it is Apple.

So tell me, how is it any different? What services/products each offers is completely irrelevant.

The Apple fan boys who care about being the most valuable company(on paper) are even worse.

Must have what? What physical products did Yahoo develop and keep rolling out? Yahoo basically got rolled by Google. Who is going to do that to Apple?

If you can't understand the difference between Yahoo! from the late 90s, early 2000s and Apple (present day), then I don't know what to tell you my friend. The two are NOT similar.

Love or hate, you can't deny that Apple has their shit on lock. The best their competitors can do is copy.
