If you don't put your number on Facebook(to get notifications on your phone), then they won't have your number. Also, I couldn't look at your contacts anyway, so it's not a big deal.

Nothing I put on there is "so bad". But some people choose to put addresses and phone numbers and setting privacy so only their friends can see it. But Facebook still has total control and permission to do whatever they want with that information outside the confines of Facebook, selling and distributing the information to marketing firms.
