Dansby, whose Dolphins were the first victims of Tebowmania, told Jim Rome today that he and other members of the team saw Godliness in Tebow’s stunning comeback from a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

“Us losing to Tim Tebow the way we did, we seen it first hand,” Dansby said on Rome’s radio show. “Young man is blessed. Young man has a special anointing on him. And for God to show himself in that game the way He did, through the guy He did it through, it opened a lot of guys’ eyes on our team. And it brought a lot of guys closer to God, so like I said, everything happens for a reason. . . . My hat goes off to Tim. And God working through him like that, it opened up a lot of eyes. He’s a blessed young man and I wish him much success the rest of his career.”
I have already admitted I'm impressed with Tebow's leadership and what he brings to the team. But this is the shit that bothers people. Assuming that the Christian monotheistic god is real (a lot of religions and people disagree about the specifics), this altruistic perfect being cares about who wins a football game? There is horrifying stuff that happens in the world on a daily basis and people ACTUALLY BELIEVE that the hand of God is working through a football player to help him win games? NO, NO, NO. That is the most retarded thing ever. Why would God work through an individual to help him win a meaningless game when there are real problems in the world.

Your right God doesn't care who wins a football game. Tim Tebow is winning games because of the talent God gave him and Tim Tebow developing and using that talent to the fullest like we all should be doing with whatever talent God gave us.

Fly, its not that God is all about football games. It is a part of Tebow's life that enables him to help his fellow man, like building a new children's hospital. Dansby is just sayin Tebow is blessed. He gets it. His team has become closer and won 4 in a row since it happened. He is just giving glory to God who he chooses to believe in, not to be confused with the football gods, who smacked Orton's finger on Wright's helmet.

Hasn't anyone ever seen Damn Yankees? Tebow sold his soul to Satan (not God) and that's why he's having all this success...the huge crash n' burn is coming folks, count on it. I'm thinking caught in a crack den with midget Asian whores at some point.

No need to bring your past experiences into this discussion.

I agree. But Broncos should still win. Chicago is atrocious without Cutler/Forte. If Hester sees a kick land in-bounds John fox should be fired immediately.

Nice you ignore what else Tebow does besides play football in the off season (missions work in the Phillipines and speaking and visiting inmates) but then again I'm not surprised.

Considering the beliefs each are showing are different that is a very poor comparison to try to make Tebow look bad. Compare any athlete to Tillman like that and they'll look bad, even though it isn't a fair comparison.

I don't care, athletes pointing to the sky, talking about God, etc is fucking obnoxious. God did not help you in the 4th Quarter because if he did then he wouldn't be God.

Tebow may very well be a perfectly nice and respectable person but he should still STFU with a lot of that shit.

pointing to the sky and praising god after they score a touchdown doesn't mean they are thanking god for getting them in the endzone. simply thanking god for the chance to make it to the highest level and the talent he has given them. you don't like it don't watch it.

Thinking someone is stupid for saying something is very different then thinking they should not legally be allowed to say something.

Free speech doesn't mean we can't think people should not say things, it means we can't make it so people cannot say things.

But thats not what you said:

"but he should still STFU" I don't see where you said "I think" he should STFU.
