NFL, NBC may "flex" their muscle to air Broncos-Patriots game
Only the power of Tebow can cause such commotion.
The NFL and NBC-TV have not announced whether they will "flex" the Dec. 18 Broncos-Patriots game to prime time. It is still possible there will be a "flex" announcement this morning.
CBS is not surrendering the game easily. The network is considered the "AFC network," yet it was not able to capitalize on telecasting a Tebow-led Broncos comeback Sunday against Minnesota. The Fox network was handed the ratings bonanza because of an NBC flex game that broadcast New Orleans vs. Detroit, two NFC teams.
Without the change, NBC will broadcast a game between Baltimore (9-3) and San Diego (5-7). Not bad, but not Brady and Tebow.

CBS won an intense battle with NBC to keep Dec. 18's New England Patriots vs. Denver Broncos game on its network for a 4:15 p.m. ET kickoff. The NFL and NBC had wanted to flex the game to Sunday night to replace the not-nearly-as-attractive Baltimore Ravens vs. San Diego Chargers game. That game will start in its regularly scheduled prime-time slot.
Peter King noted that CBS had a chance to protect the Broncos vs. Pats game weeks ago. At that point, the quarterback was a national punch line instead of a worldwide savior and CBS failed to sense the impeding Tebow revolution. In essence, CBS needed the NFL to save it from its own lack of foresight.

[h=1]Dansby sees God working through Tebow[/h]http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/12/06/dansby-sees-god-working-through-tebow/
Dansby, whose Dolphins were the first victims of Tebowmania, told Jim Rome today that he and other members of the team saw Godliness in Tebow’s stunning comeback from a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter.
“Us losing to Tim Tebow the way we did, we seen it first hand,” Dansby said on Rome’s radio show. “Young man is blessed. Young man has a special anointing on him. And for God to show himself in that game the way He did, through the guy He did it through, it opened a lot of guys’ eyes on our team. And it brought a lot of guys closer to God, so like I said, everything happens for a reason. . . . My hat goes off to Tim. And God working through him like that, it opened up a lot of eyes. He’s a blessed young man and I wish him much success the rest of his career.”

Or they just want to show the Patriots absolutely throttle the Tebow led Broncos. This is the 1st good team Tebow will have a chance to beat this year. Patriots by 30. Enjoy!Speedofsand;1007249 wrote:the networks are fighting to show his games.
