I want a Blu Ray player for Christmas, but don't know if it's worth it to go ahead and get the PS3.
In college, I had a PS2 and probably spend 10 hours a week playing Madden. I know that if I get a PS3, the same will happen. However, the PS3 isn't that much more than a regular blu ray player.
Should I make the plunge and get the Playsation, or save money?

Also, I would buy the PS3, but Walmart has a blu ray player for under $100. Not sure how good it is, but that is a pretty good value.

Get the PS3. The only way I will ever consider getting a stand alone player is if it is a cheap one for my bedroom.
