I was thinking the same thing. I would guess it will have a laugh or two but won't be anything special.

Exactly what Eddie Murphy did.

Used his success in earlier, more demographically limiting comedy films to transition to the far more lucrative family friendly comedy market.

Sort of. Sandler still had Funny People in the mix of his transition but to me his movies are still much funnier than anything Eddie Murphy has made in a while.

Agreed on that front.

Agreed that Eddie Murphy hasn't done anything worthwhile in a LONG time but Tower Heist looks promising. Probably because he's part of an ensemble cast and not trying to carry the movie. Looks like he's going back to his Beverly Hills Cop type of funny character. And I really wish Alan Alda was in more movies.

Did you hear that Murphy's name has been brought up as host of the Oscars next year and that he's interested?

Yeah, Tower Heist looks alright. I would guess it will be funnier than anything he has been a part of in a while.

It's official. Eddie Murphy is hosting the Academy Awards. Should be interesting.

Just saw a preview for J. Edgar with Leo DiCaprio. Looks pretty badass, and I assume about the start-up of the FBI.

I'll see anything with Leo in it, no homo. He's that good right now.

Did you see it on tv? I tried to find one on Youtube but kept finding dumbasses who made trailers with fart noises.

Seriously cannot wait. Shark Night 3D dropped the ball when they didn't go with an "R" rating.

Piranha 3D was awesome! It was a very good cheesy horror flick. My buddy and I loved it!

Really? I thought it was good because it didn't take itself too seriously. It was pretty much tits, gore and one liners

I get what you are saying. I just thought it was as bad as the Saturday night movies on the Sci-Fi channel. The tits were a plus though.
