Best movie I saw all year. After the oscar buzz I'd imagine it would play in more screens, similar to Blue Valentine last year.

Just got back from watching The Sitter. There were a couple pretty funny parts. It was alright over all.

Are you serious? I think this is one of the best promo posters I have ever seen? It's up there with Spider-Man 3. Now... I'm not sure that is anything to be bragging about considering that movie was a gigantic bust, but they sure did a great job in selling hype with their poster, and I think they will do the same with this one.

I saw the new Sherlock Holmes film last night. I liked that they continued the slow-motion scenes where Holmes breaksdown what he is about to do. That was perhaps my favorite part/thing about the first one. I thought the second one was good, but not nearly as good as the first one. Even tho the run time was the exact same, I thought this one was a dreadfully long movie. I found myself asking myself, is it over yet? I think I had too much hype for this movie going in (since I really appreciated the first one) and I was simply let down.

The ending was perhaps the best part of the the movie. Definitely made up for the rest of it.

Mini Spoiler....

I was shocked at how little of a role Rachel McAdams had. She must have had about a total of 5 minutes on screen.

The poster looks ok, its just lame that they say "The untold story". That's a total fail, as they already told the origin story. Granted the first 3 films were total dogshit, but come on. Its not an untold story, thats just ridiculous and the average fan or movie goer, isn't going to just forget the the first 3 films.

Agreed. EVERYONE knows the origin of batman, superman and spiderman. Even non comic book fans. If they want to make more superhero movies I will be happy to see them but I do not need to sit through someone else's version of the origin. I fucking get it.

New GI Joe Trailer. I know the first wasn't tremendous but this looks pretty good.

Yeah, I think I watched 5 or 10 minutes of the first and shut it off.

Okay. That I can somewhat agree with. Yes, the story has already been "told." However, to judge and say "the story has already been told" without even seeing what this film is going to tell is slightly jumping ahead. Yes we all know Peter Parker was bitten by a radio-active spider. Yes we all know he lived with his Aunt May & Uncle Ben. Yes we all know he was a geeky nerd before the bite. The core isn't going to change. But let's see what else they can do.

Look at Batman. Everyone knew the Batman story but look what the latest reboot has done for the franchise - it took the brand and set it at one of the all-time highest benchmark movies for a comic book themed movie/series.

Let's let it marinate for a little bit.

I liked the first Spiderman, but I thought the other two were garbage. The scene of Toby McGuire singing in that cafe/club may be one of the worst scenes ever. I guess I just don't get the hype behind these movies.

I agree the movie jumped the shark with that scene.

The second one wasn't bad but it was not as good as the original. Either movie would have been better if Kirsten Dunst would have had a frontal nude scene.

The MIB movies were some of my favorites when I was a kid, so I'll be checking this one out for sure.

Completely agree. And this is no joke either... when I say "worst scenes of all-time," I literally mean WORST SCENES OF ALL-TIME. That scene in-and-of-itself killed Spiderman 3.

Agreed. I was pretty pumped for this 3rd installment until I read that they have had some SERIOUS issues with writing the script (apparently Will Smith forced them to change it because it was so bad). Smith even went so far as to bring his own personal writer into the mix. Apparently there have been like 4-5 different plot writers for this film. Basically, I'm not expecting anything too much anymore. I just want to see some great acting from Smith and Jones.

MIB was solid, MIB2 was terrible. I have zero expectations of this even being watchable.

It will definitely watchable/entertaining. I'm definitely excited for it, but I will admit my expectations are relatively low.

Commander is just an internet hardass when it comes to films.

Yeah you're right, me and everyone else is a "hardass" when it comes to MIB2. Thats why it has a below 50 meta score. (below 50 is god awful btw. Not many films fall to that depth.)

This is probably the worst sequel ever made - bar none. A zero is fair due to the moronic upvoters.

I didn't know they were making a 2nd Expendables. Chuck Norris and Van Damme are both in it. Wow.
