Actuary/risk analyst for an evil health insurance company. I'm the reason your deductible goes up every year. :)

Just found out last week I got picked up in a Division 2 conference. I've been told I should be getting picked up in at least 2 others as well but won't know for sure until I get a contract in the next month or so. I just finished my 5th year officiating bball overall and just did 1 season of JuCo/Div 3 last year so I couldn't be any happier moving up so quickly.

Do you mind the travel? I'd assume you're single, or have a very understanding wife.

I would tend to agree, but it's a great first "real" job in terms of networking in a lot of companies. Many CFO types started at that company's CPA firm.

You'll get inflated prices. You likely have deep pockets from this website.

Single, and no it doesn't bother me. My longest trip last year was about 2.5 hours long, all of the others were 1.5 hours or less. My Div 2 conference has 6 schools within 2 hours of Charlotte so it shouldn't be too bad. The other couple conferences I'm waiting on are a bit further away but I'm not complaining at all. Most of the people with my experience and/or age would love to be where I'm at now. I just feel luck to get the opportunity to move up.

I'm a Drill Site Manager for an oil company - working on my first hitch now.
Spent the previous 4 years as a Production Engineer for the same company. Worked in Wyoming for 2 years ran up to 6 Workover Rigs at one time. Also worked offshore for 2 years had 1 platform with 24 wells and 5 subsea wells tied back to that platform, also completed and flowed back 3 other subsea wells to a platform that Shell ran.

love my new gig.

some of you bastards have really boring ass jobs. "Web developer"???? what the fuck? you get paid to do something that a 12 year old does for fun. Grow up.

I just did some work with someone who was an actuary and was a consultant. His salary last year was $1,000,000. I didn't even know what an actuary was until I looked it up.
