Dude has suffered some of the worst injuries ever, in any sport. No idea how he is still playing!

And he essentially did it twice. With the same type of tackle. The first (also first video) one is worse I think. When he plants and the defender kicks him from behind and snaps the bone immediately.

New jersey sponsorship in the MLS!

Hold off on buying your Chicago Fire kit until they put their new sponsor on it, Quaker Oats. This is an awesome deal, worth between $1.3-1.5 million! C'mon Crew...

The Crew picked up a MF, D, FWD, and FWD in the four rounds of the supplemental draft today.

It's nice to see that there is some moving and shaking in the positions that are much needed.

Oh, and in other news:

Pep OWNS "The Special One". Barca over Real today 2-1, in Madrid. Ive probably jinxed it, but I think they said since Pep took over Barca, 4 seasons ago, Madrid is now 1-9-3 versus him.

game was kind of boring for me..I turned it off after 30 or so minutes..which I usually never do.

2nd half was a Barcelona clinic. Madrid barely touched the ball. I think Phil Schoen (GolTV) said at one point that Barca had about 65% possession in the 2nd half. That was with like 10 minutes to play.

One of these days, these rumors of internationals coming to the MLS will come true...

Luca Toni to Montreal?

Michael Ballack to NYRB?

ESPN had an article today about the top U-21 players the US has to offer. Would be nice for a couple of the speedsters/playmaking mids to pan out. Hopefully we'll get to see some of these guys in the Olympics.

With Agudelo, Gatt, Boyd, Gyau, Adu, Salgado, McInerney etc. it's gonna be interesting to see who the U-23 side goes with up top.

How about the USWNT trouncing the Dominican Republic 14-0 last night?

Chelsea dropping more points today by drawing Norwich City 0-0 today!

EDIT:
Should've added that the USMNT plays Venezuela tonight at 9pm. I'll be tuned in! Probably have it online.

2 Akron Zips on that list. Don't know if it has been announced on here or not, its kind of old news, but Akron's HC, Caleb Porter, is the HC of the U-23 team.

Clint Dempsey with 2 goals today for Fulham. They lead 4-1 over Newcastle after being behind 1-0. Still in the 70th minute.

And, a 3rd for The Boy Clint Dempsey. Subbed off to a standing ovation. His second hat trick this month I believe.

Oh, and that hat trick for Deuce is the first hat trick ever scored by an American in the EPL. Clint is in rare air right now. Playing extremely well!

Clint on the rise! I'll be surprised if he's still with Fulham this time next year.

Was the first hat trick in FA cup play?
