I had a chance to eat dinner at the Great Lakes Brewing Company last week. It was a lot of fun, and the beers are somehow better on tap (had an American Pale Ale, an IPA, and a Porter).
I'm of the persuasion that Great Lakes is often overpriced, but I don't mind it so much if I can afford it, because I like buying local, and when it comes with some quality, well that just makes me all the more proud to buy local.
If you're still in the Golden Triangle, try to find some Cerberus from Thirsty Dog. I've got one bottle left, but that stuff is....remember the old SNL commercial for Coldcock Malt Liquor?

It's pretty similar, if you follow this formula.
Take a 12-quart stock pot. Open one bottle Dortmunder Gold and pour into pot. Fill rest of the way with water. Ladle into a tall glass. Enjoy your home-brewed Budweiser!
