WTF....Willis can't waste a roster spot if they're only going to let him throw 64 pitches.

Yea the book on baker says he had to warm up like 3 times so you have him go 125 pitches. Since when does dusty care about saving arms!?!?!

I didnt say the starters were pitching well...I said Walt was smart to let them stick with it until it was blatantly obvious there needed to be a change. Like someone already said, he would have been up sooner if not for his DL visit...you're delusional if you think Walt is the problem this season.

So who is responsible for their offseason moves. Gomes option picked up, Lewis signed in left. Bronson $35mil contract. Rolen restructure for 2 more years. Renteria/Janish at SS.

His poor decisions vastly outweigh his good ones. There is a ton of talent, basically the only good moves he's made are resigning a couple young guys who would have been under control for years anyway. I don't care what he did in St Louis. He hasn't done much here other than bring in Rolen and get about 100 good games out of him and draft Leake. Why are you on his nuts so hard?

I love seeing the two teams many experts picked as the worst teams in baseball currently lead their divisions. Ironically, the two teams are in the same region.

The 2011 Cincinnati Reds are the biggest group of slapdicks I have ever watched. Yet I keep watching. FML.

I can't stand him because I saw this happen in 2007 with the Tribe. Basically the same scenario, they get to the playoffs and then don't do a damn thing to improve the team in the offseason. They talk about youth improving and chemistry. You can't expect everyone to have another career year. They had a great shot to be a great team. They failed to add a TOR arm, bat in left, and adequate SS. When signing Cairo is your best move of the year that shouldn't cut it. There isn't a team in baseball who waited 90 games to call up someone from AAA to try to improve their team.

If you didn't know who was running the team you would think Marge is back.

I was at the 90 WS, I want to go to another one.

Way to go Buccos!! At least get 1 out of the 2 remaining and take another series...although a sweep would be great.

Not true, there would only be whites on the team if that were the case.

No facial hair, either.

But also, a World Series.

The critical story of the game was the Reds 3,4 hitters failing in both chances to get runs in from 3rd with less than two out, while a big baserunning play by Pittsburgh put them in position to have two ABs with runners on 3rd with less than two out, and they converted both to RBIs and thus a 2-0 win. The Reds just beat it into the ground against Morton, with the exception of Willis who hit the ball well twice. Having a 1:20 rain delay after he had gotten ready for the bottom of the first I'm sure took a toll on Willis.

I'm still laughing about Grande and Casey saying Jacoby is a great hitting coach. A great hitting coach doesn't let their team get abused by an average pitcher 3 games in a row. It's pretty sad when the guy that just got called up from AAA is giving your team the best AB's.
