I like that lineup. Still think Lewis is a better #1 but since he only plays every 3rd game it's better to keep the top consistent. There are no easy outs 1-9 there if Stubbs keeps up his new approach.

This hardly looks like the same Pirates team we are used to seeing. Hopefully their lack of ABs against DTrain and Leake hurt them.

1. Alex Presley (L) LF
2. Chase d'Arnaud (R) SS
3. Neil Walker (S) 2B
4. Andrew McCutchen (R) CF
5. Matt Diaz (R) RF
6. Lyle Overbay (L) 1B
7. Brandon Wood (R) 3B
8. Michael McKenry (R) C
9. Charlie Morton (R) P

Stubbs must but several of those guys can give up some very easy outs....all players do...I think it's more up to the plate approaches of #3-#5 hitters.....seems to decide whether or not the Reds roll.

Presley has been outstanding. I think what we're seeing in this small sampling is legit. He makes a lot of good contact and sprays the ball around.

d'Arnaud is excitable but that brings good and bad. Plays fast but too fast for his own good at times.

Obviously the Bucs have a glaring hole in the lineup after Walker and McCutchen. Need one more bat for 3-4-5 if they're going to seriously threaten.

Maybe Alvarez could emerge and be that guy when he comes back but imagine an Aramis Ramirez or Hunter Pence, that would be a good fit.

I would love to trust your analysis, but the records of the Pirates over the last 15 years, lets me know, your baseball IQ has to be close to 0.

Rolen is NOT in Pittsburgh right now. Not sure what that means, but I think he might be going away for awhile....

No, the way he wrote it made it sound like Rolen wasn't in Pittsburgh, then he cleared it up on another question that he was not in Pittsburgh and Rolen was.

I've always maintained there are exceptions even for bad teams.

Damn, going to be a rain delay til at least 8. Casey and Grande calling the game, that might lead to the mute button and 700 for me.

Thought Casey really improved his last time in the booth. Looking forward to hearing from The Mayor.

If he didn't laugh when he can't think of something to say I could stand him.

Stubbs gets plunked just above the knee with 2 strikes. Solid start.
