Anyone else watching. Don't care much about the awards but enjoy the show. Opening monologue is always great. The honoree for the Arthur Ashe Awards was exceptional.

Abby Wambach's goal just won an award. Has an ESPY ever been given to a play that happened that recently (3 days earlier)? Deserving IMO but surprising that it was eligible for an award this soon.

They said that it was a last minute entry.

They probably pushed it up there really quickly. I believe fans voted on what gets to be finalists for the awards...I don't know if they also choose who wins the award too?

Again, the awards are a waste ( the highlights involved are fun to see again IMO) but the opening monologue and the Ashe and Jimmy V awards never fail to amaze.
